Overview:
Sony Pictures will be releasing Saawariya directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali this is a first time a Hollywood production house will produce an Indian movie. The film is based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's short story, White Nights.
Ranbir Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor's son) and Sonam Kapoor (Anil Kapoor's daughter) will be seen first time on the silver screen.
The main protagonist is young 26-year-old man Raj who is a dreamer (played by
Ranbir). He comes across a young lady Sakina (played by Sonam
Kapoor) and their story begins. Days are as bright as night. The story is based on four nights that the protagonists spend together. It is not exactly a remake but many inspirations are taken from the french movie Four Nights of a Dreamer and the 1988 italian movie Cinema
Paradiso.
Salman Khan will be seen as Rohan and Rani Mukherjee as
Gulab.
