Overview:
Critically acclaimed filmmaker, Rituparno Ghosh’s Last Lear has got critical
acclaim
from many of the film festivals that it has been
shown.

The film world premiere was held at the Toronto
International Film Festival this year. The film has
been selected for the gala premiere, the most
prestigious section and centerpiece of the
illustrious festival.
The look in the film promises to be a pleasant
surprise. Amitabh Bachchan’s look is one that he
has never before been seen in, Arjun Rampal gets an
urban look that he hasn’t got before either on the
ramp or on screen, and Preity, for the first time,
gets to play a modern Indian woman, replete with
saris and salwaar kameez .
The film is Rituparno Ghosh’s most ambitious project yet; it is a fresh kind of cinema. Amitabh Bachchan is playing a veteran Shakesperean actor called Harish
Mishra, Preity Zinta is playing the role of a bad actor named
Shabnam, and Arjun Rampal is playing the role of their film director
Siddharth. The film was received positively by critics with many saying that Bachchan has given a career best performance.
