| Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Alibaug stars the likes of accomplished actors including Sanjay
Dutt, Sanjay Suri, Madhavan and Mandira Bedi. In probably one of the most improbable unions in Bollywood – Sanjay known for his dark noire thrillers has persuaded poet filmmaker Gulzar to write the dialogues of the film. |

The far less predictable arrival in Sanjay Gupta's creative orbit is
Gulzar. “I know we seem to belong to two different worlds creatively,” says Gupta. “But I'm his biggest fan. My home has all his works on tapes, CDS and books. To have him work in my film is a dream come true. I admire him for several reasons.” he added
The plot of Alibaug revolves around a dying professor, who used to be the living dream in his college. The professor was deeply loved and admired by his students. Now, on the bed of death, the professor wishes to get together with his favorite students, who have moved on a great deal in their own self-centered lives.

Over the last decade, a lot has changed and the same is reflected in the bonds, relationships and attitude of the students. It’s all in the hands of the professor to get the students together and live the journey of life to the fullest. Synopsis
A former professor, who once dazzled in college as the charming, most loved teacher, is dying. However, he has one last wish. He wants to bring together his favourite group of students, who drifted away from him and each other over the past decade. When they meet he realizes his students have travelled far; but somewhere along the journey, relationships have become jaded and now it is up to him to help them make the leap of faith to regain their lives. |
