Film Overview: ‘Gomaal Returns’ (the sequel of blockbuster comedy Golmaal) is now coming to send laughs on your face this October. Rohit Shetty (who had directed Golmaal) returns to direct this rib-tickling comic joy ride. The enterprise consists of mega star cast ranging from Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Amrita Arora, and Tusshar Kapoor. Kareena is opposite Ajay and interestingly her character is called Ekta. She is a TV soap buff and watches K-serials. Tusshar Kapoor plays Kareena’s brother, who is dumb like in the original Golmaal. Shreyas Talpade is a common friend of Ajay and Tusshar. Shreyas is reprising the role originally played by Sharman Joshi. The expectations are huge that the sequel too will hit the jackpot since it is laced with all the masala, which is necessary to entertain the audience.
Story line: The film opens with Gopal (Ajay Devgan) who lives with his better half Ekta (Kareena Kapoor), sister Esha and a dumb brother in law Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor). One day, he finds an attractive young gal Meera (Celina Jaitley) on his way to home from his office. Some goons are teasing to Meera. He saves her from the goons and he gets stuck one whole night in a yacht. Due to the circumstances they stay back on the yacht.

The next day, he arrives home and bumps into his suspicious wife Ekta, who is a hard core Saas bahu television soap viewer and suspects him of flirting with girls from his staff. It becomes much difficult for Gopal to satisfy his wife with the incident that happened last night so he creates a false story depicting that he spent the whole night with a fictitious friend named Anthony Gonsalves.
She does not believe that he has any friend by this name. So she decides to write to Anthony to come and visit her. Gopal is in trouble now so he asks his junior Laxman (Shreyas Talpade) to pretend that he is Anthony. He agrees to pretend so.
Thus everything goes according to plan until the address on which Ekta had written a letter to Anthony turns out to be real. Amidst all, Gopal finds out that a dead body was found at the same location where he saved Meera from the goons. Enters Maadhav (Arshad Warsi), the investigating officer, who is even Esha’s boyfriend and does not get well along with Gopal.
So Maadhav finds out that Gopal was missing from his home that very night and the dead was an employee from his company. With the investigation, there oozes out a real hilarious chaos.
