Maverick has recently completed three successful years in the industry and has a wide portfolio ranging from TV shows, films, awards show, documentaries and advertisements.

Aftab has said yes to what he calls a very interesting funny and untried film. "It goes by the peculiar name of Aloo Chaat and I hope it turns out to be just as appetizing as the title suggests", laughs Aftab who has lately been lying low.

" Robbie Grewal who has made Samay is directing the film. His two films so far haven't done well, but that's okay. Even Rakeysh Mehra and Ashutosh Gowariker started with Aks and Baazi before they came to Rang De Basanti and Lagaan." 

When asked about the temptation of pairing up with a top TV actress who makes her big-screen debut. "I haven't seen much of Amna Sharif's work on television. But she seems very talented and pretty. Aloo Chaat is her film launch. So, I guess I've a larger responsibility towards the project."

ALOO CHAAT is based on a terrific family-comedy script and the film's story has all the elements of a universal appeal.
