Kabir
comes from a family that's at the lower end of society yet beautifully bonded. Like most youngsters Maahi and Kabir become friends. While Maahi loves the small town suburban life style of Kabir's family, Kabir finds the urban, up market life style that Maahi is living exciting. What follows is a journey of accepting one's mistakes & owning up to it, a tale of courage & determination. It's a cry for help by those numerous Kidult couples that have & are facing such a dilemma in their lives at this very moment. It's an attempt to bring to light an issue...teenage pregnancy... which is rampant & is growing exponentially in the current Indian society - modern & rural.
Synopsis:
Maahi, a student of Delhi International School and only daughter of reputed criminal lawyer Mohit Puri accidently meets Kabir, a student of a government school, son of an auto rickshaw driver from Chandni chowk.
Maahi enjoys all sorts of comforts but she is alone as her parents travel a lot and hardly have any time for her. Kabir, on the other hand is a happy-go-lucky kind of boy, and spends most of his time either watching films or playing football.
Kabir accidentally meets Maahi and can’t forget her. He goes to her school everyday to catch a glimpse of her and in the process they become friends. He takes her around old Delhi, enjoying the famous chat and golgappa.
She enjoys everything, every moment and feeling like a bird just released from the cage in the company of Kabir and his gang. Gradually both of them begin liking each other and On a camping trip on New Year's Eve, after just getting a little tipsy the young couple in all their innocence give in to their hormonal drives & Maahi gets pregnant. Kabir takes her for an abortion but Maahi gets cold feet and runs away. They tell their parents about it and as expected, they react wildly.
Left with no option, they decide to give birth to this baby and go to a hill station. As they don’t have any money, Kabir starts doing some odd jobs but gets fired from everywhere. Back in Delhi, their parents are really worried for their children. Mohit, Maahi’s father, sues Kabir for raping and kidnapping his under-aged daughter. Kabir’s parents come to the hill station. After an emotional conversation, Narendra accepts them graciously. Maahi’s labour pains start but before he can see his newborn, the police arrest him.
The case starts. Mohit somewhere realizes that he himself never loved and cared about his own daughter the way Kabir is taking care. He changes his mind and wins the case for Kabir, risking the cancellation of his license. Kabir comes back to Maahi after spending three months in a rehabilitation centre and they live happily ever after.
