Produced by Eros International and Boundscript, 'Aladin' is a contemporary look at the classic fairy tale. Packed with fun, music, masti, action and adventure 'Aladin' boasts of a visual scale never seen before. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh and introduces Jacqueline Fernandez. Ritiesh plays the title role; Sanjay is Ring Master while Amitabh plays a mischievous genie. The story is contemporary but set in a fantasy world of make belief.

Sujoy Ghosh's most ambitious project till date, Aladin is also special because with this film, Eros International, which is producing the film, also makes a foray into visual effects with their recently launched EyeQube Studios. Meant to boast of hi-end special effects film, the film stars Riteish Deshmukh in the title role of Aladin and also introduces Jackie Fernandez opposite him. The film has music by Vishal-Shekhar and also features songs sung by Amitabh Bachchan as well as Sanjay Dutt.
ALADIN is also one of the first Hindi films where a film studio announced plans to produce a sequel before the release of the film. Having seen the first cut of ALADIN, Eros had announced the sequel even before the film's release where the original cast is expected to return.
Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh says his films special effects, are no less than a Harry Potter or The Lord Of The Rings film. "Our funda was simple—we had to make a movie that is world class. Indian audiences aren't alien to Harry Potter or The Lord of the Rings series. We couldn't have given them anything less. We knew it would cost a lot of money but somehow we had an inkling that we would be able to raise it," Ghosh said.
He described his film as a visual delight, the kind that he equated to eating an ice cream with your eyes.
The big budget, special effects film also stars Sanjay Dutt as a cool villain and marks the entry of Sri Lankan beauty Jackie Fernandez paired opposite Riteish.
