After her sizzling hot look in the The Dirty Picture Vidya Balan is all set to be seen in a new avatar in Sujoy Ghosh’s next dramatic thriller Kahaani. Vidya will be playing the role of a six month pregnant woman who is in search of her missing husband.
Commenting on her role Vidya say’s “It’s one of the few characters that I could perform with utmost ease and effortlessly because I’d joke with my friends as to how differently women walk when they are pregnant. I also tried to copy the way they take deep breathes in between.”
Sujoy Ghosh admitted he penned ‘Kahaani’ keeping only Vidya in mind, “The moment I started writing it, I knew I was going to cast her.”
Once the euphoria around The Dirty Picture settles down, Kahaani would put Vidya in a completely different mould. It may be interesting to watch Vidya in a completely different and unglamorous avatar after the Milan Luthria film. The film starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi would hit theatres on January 20, 2012.
