Son Of Sardaar, also known as SOS, is an upcoming film directed by Ashwini Dhir a remake of Telugu movie Maryada Ramanna. The film features Ajay Devgn, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles. Longtime associate and Ace cinematographer Aseem Bajaj is handling the camera once again for Dhir. The film is scheduled for release on 13 November 2012. Recently Himesh Reshammiya was roped in to compose the music along with the famous lyricist Sameer Anjaan.

The first look of Son Of Sardaar is out. This comic caper about vengeance is a Diwali release. Director Ashwani Dhir’s previous outing, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge was well received at the BO, but this time around the stakes are very high.

The biggest challenge for Son Of Sardar is that it will be crossing swords with Yash Chopra’s comeback film – the Shahrukh Khan-Katrina Kaif-starrer – and Akshay Kumar’s home-production Khiladi 786. Probably that is the reason why the publicity of SOS has already begun. It will be a war at the BO this Diwali.
