Ritesh
Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are producing Honeymoon
Travels Pvt. Ltd. while Farhan's sister Zoya Akhtar is
the executive producer for this film.
The
story of six couples on their first sojourn together
after marriage in common parlance — the honeymoon.
That’s the concept around which Reema Kagti’s debut
film, Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd, is centred.
“I wrote the story over three months and then worked on it
for the last two years, enhancing and developing the
story further,” says the director of the film, who
actually started off writing a darker film before she
tuned into this new story.
My
earlier story was darker and set in a more independent
space. It was a bit unconventional and since I am a
debutante, it was difficult to find any takers for that
story.

| The
theme of
love, on the other hand, is supposed to be the
easiest to get support from people. Hence
Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd,” she explains.
Kagti
adds that ironically, the film turned out to be
far from a conventional saga of love. “Now
that the film is ready, I’ve realised it is
not the regular kind of love story at all.
It’s quite off the mark from anything
conventional,” she says.
A
“happy cum sad take on love and marriage”,
the film
with
great star cast it’s
expected to go well with the audience. |
