| Red is the most intense love story ever directed by Vikram
Bhatt. Told in a thriller narrative Red has created a stir ever since its promos have hit the small screen. No sweet 'n' saccharine romance, no unwanted gravity defying action, no marriage celebrations but sheer drama, intense romance and some hard hitting intimate moments between the lead pair of Aftab and Celina - this is what Red seems to have in the offering! What has also helped the film's cause is the passionate number
'Aafreen' [composed and sung by Himesh Reshammiya] that runs in the background throughout the film's promo which is a sequence of some exciting moments from the film. |

After Ankahee, it's Red for Vikram Bhatt, which is produced by Horse Shoe Productions. The movie is named Red because it is a love story on the dark side. The story is set in an urban metropolis of India and talks about obsessive love. The movie is a romantic thriller with suspense.

Promotion for the film has already kick started When composer at the helm of affairs is Himesh Reshammiya then it is quite obvious to have a musical beginning to the film's publicity. This is what has happened too with Himesh Reshammiya composed and sung
'Afreen' marking the arrival of the film.

Aftab Shivdasani [in a new short hairdo] and gorgeous Celina
Jaitley, 'Aafreen' with a Sufi flavor to it has been shot as a night song and has a passionate feel to it and what better way to place it as a theme song by filling up the frames with the colour 'red'!
Most of Vikram Bhatt's movies are about relationships. This one is no different Amrita here plays a woman who has loved and lost, Celina is a young widow and Aftab is the one who has survived a near-death experience. It is a tragic love story.
The first look of the film has done the trick and now it is up to the makers of the film to sustain the tempo of the film's promotion and place it strategically in the market when it gears up for an early February release.
