What started as a media projected war between Big B, Junior Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, post release of KANK seems to be blowing into a full-scale war and the industry is supposedly being forced to take sides. In this supposed war, the biggest dilemma that has assumed existentialist proposition is that being faced by Karan Johar. He seems to be getting caught between the option to make choices between the Big B family and the Khan family.
Karan Johar is a buddy to Shah Rukh Khan but his mother is the best friend of Jaya Bhaduri aka Bachchan. The dilemma has been accentuated by the invitation that Karan Johar got for the Abhie-Ash wedding, but the same was denied to King Khan. Now Karan Johar has offered a film to Abhie-Ash It is altogether a different matter that the film of Abhie-Ash is not being directed by Karan Johar himself but it is under his banner. Safely guarded secret that the Johar camp has been trying hard not to leak out insiders reveal Karan Johar's has signed none other than best friend Kajol with Shah Rukh Khan for his next directorial venture. The film based on a story that revolves around post 9/11 trauma by an Indian couple.

Will the Johar film also star any of the four Bachchans? The hot debate whether any one of them would actually agree to work in the film also starring their pet hate SRK has exhausted all possibilities with virtually every angle explored as to how, why and what would KJ do to keep his best buddy happy and yet make sure that the First Family in tinsel Ville he is so close to doesn't get offended - A tough decision on his part undoubtedly.

Choices when they present themselves in such a manner to force an individual to exercise an option between relationships that have a historicity associated with them, and the exuberance of joy and warmth in the form of friendship always draw blood and it has its reverberations of multitude varieties.

If a choice would have to present himself to Karan Johar to choose between either of the two it would be sad loss for the industry. After all is
not Karan Johar, what he is today, owing to monumental contribution, which has been played by Shah Rukh in his career? It was this personal friendship, which sportingly cajoled King Khan to make even guest appearances in Karan Johar's films and the reciprocation for the same was done by Karan Johar when he volunteered himself to design the clothes for KBC when King Khan became its anchor.

But the advent of AB along with his clan in Karan Johar's films gave it a different orientation which at this stage it would be difficult for KJo to ignore as the kind of power as a brand that the triumvirate of Bachchans command as a package for a film, would be an envious combination for any film maker. Besides, there are emotions attached as well, as it was with Big B that Yash Johar banner got its first major hit film, KHUDDAR.

It is hoped for the sake of the industry, and the film fraternity that histrionics of King Khan and Bachchan clan in a movie would continue to entertain all the audiences, as Karan Johar is in an envious position to provide this bouquet with a finesse that can only be matched by a Yash Raj films. Film making after all should not get embroiled in the fraternity affiliations and associations.
