There’s been a lot of news about the Vivek Oberoi-Abhishek Bachchan starrer Mission Istanbul and the reason is obvious. While Vivek Oberoi is Aishwarya’s ex-beau, Abhishek has just married the lady in question. The undercurrent, to say the least, is quite tense regarding this film. The buzz it that director Apurva Lakhia is finding it very difficult to get the two actors together to do his film Mission Istanbul, especially so soon after the Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage. But
Bachchan junior put all the speculations at rest by signing on the dotted line much so to the pleasure of director Apurva Lakhia who is a very good friend of Abhishek.

Unlike Shootout At Lokhandwala where Abhishek Bachchan and Vivek Oberoi came in mutually exclusive segments, Abhishek and Vivek will be performing scenes together in Mission Istanbul and neither has any problem doing so.
Producer Suniel Shetty says, "Why should they have a problem? Abhishek is a thorough professional. He has no problems with anybody. Yes, they do have scenes together in Mission Istanbul. And I'm sure they'll do them splendidly.”
“It's very unfair to bring in personal matters to question their professionalism. The script is still being worked out. Neither Abhishek nor Vivek have expressed any misgivings about working together. There's unnecessary speculation," he adds

Mission Istanbul is being made on an international scale. "The theme requires an international vision. My director is browsing for an F-X team from the outside. It will be top-of the-line technicians from abroad. They're a step ahead not because they're more talented, but because they're more professional. The guys who do car stunts do just that. The other stunts are performed by other specialists."
The film will be shot in Turkey. Adds Suniel, "We can no longer get away with sub-standard work. Today, the guys who shot Dhoom or the forthcoming Cash have brought an unparalleled expertise to our cinema.”
He further says, “In both my forthcoming projects, Mission Istanbul and Raaste, which have Abhishek, Aishwarya, John, Sikandar Kher, I'm getting top-notch technicians associated with the best of Hollywood cinema. We're spending Rs 25-30 crore on Mission Istanbul. I'm ready to spend more. I trust my director Apoorva Lakhia completely."

It was being expected that the relationship between the Bachchans and few close friends would be strained after they did not invite them for Abhi-Ash's wedding. But the truth is that it’s very difficult to turn foe with Abhishek. There was disappointment for those waiting to see deathly tension erupt on the sets of Pradeep Sarkar's Laaga Chunari Mein Daag between Abhishek and Rani Mukherjee.
But on the contrary, there was absolutely no coldness between Rani and Abhishek on the sets.
"How can there be?" says a close friend of both the stars.
"Rani and Abhishek have done four films as a lead pair, all hits. They're seen as the Amitabh-Jaya of the new millennium. They're so comfortable with each other.
"Yes, not being invited to the wedding did hurt Rani. She always thought of the Bachchans as a part of her extended family and hoped they considered her the same.
"Intially she was upset about not being invited. But the minute she met Abhishek last week after a longish gap, all grievances dissolved instantaneously."
Rani and Abhishek's body language on the sets seems like as though nothing has happened.
"Nothing about Abhishek has changed after marriage. He's still a major prankster. When Rani realised this, she immediately dropped her defences. The party spirit that prevails every time Abhishek is around is back. The set for Laaga Chunari Mein Daag resembles a picnic spot," says the source.
All seems to be going well for Junior Bachan with world’s most beautiful woman as wife and friends who are there for life.
