For last one year the media is going all out with guns blazing and nuclear bombs at the ready to declare war between the two biggest Bollywood stars, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. |

As per media two mighty actors have taken a dislike to each other because one wanted his son to become the new King and the other was worried that the son might be close to dethroning him. It’s been a story out of classic Shakespeare novel in true Bollywood style. Who needed Othello or Omkaara, when you have Bachchan Muqabla Khan?

While there were strong rumours taking round in bollywood about the on going war the two actors denied at any given opportunity the reports of war between them both parties were quite amazed to why the media is reporting it in such a way. Amitabh has said that all parents want there children to become successful and he does also, but he also thinks of Shah Rukh as a son too and he wishes him as much success as he does for Abhishek. If past comments from the Khan are to be believed, then he also thinks of Amitabh as a father figure, and would never deliberately go out to upset him or any of his family members.

Now comes the twist in this on going saga of Big B and Shah Rukh cold war the Shehanshah of bollywood, visited Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah, in Film City and chatted with him and the director Farah Khan for over forty five minutes recently. Shah Rukh Khan and Farah were busy in shooting of their upcoming magnum opus ‘ Om Shanti Om’ at that time when Big B dropped in to pay a surprise visit. Earlier, Big B had even sent Shah Rukh Khan an expensive gift of a Dolce & Gabbana jacket along with a note saying, ‘ Let bygones be bygones.’
As Amitabh Bachchan says, ‘ Shah Rukh Khan gave me a white Dolce & Gabbana leather jacket. I gave him a D & G jacket too as a return gesture along with a pen. But I never said, ‘ Let bygones be bygones.’ That would imply we have differences, when, in fact, we do not.’
However, this gift game is not one-way traffic and earlier King Khan too had gifted Big B an expensive computer game, though Big B did not know how to play it. But his six-year-old grandson Agastya enjoyed immensely the latest game sent by Badshah of bollywood and everybody knows that Big B adores his grand children and the thaw process in their cold war must have started from that point.
The buzz doing the rounds is that Amitabh Bachchan has also agreed to be part of Shah Rukh Khan’s home production ‘ Om Shanti Om’

and may be seen in a guest appearance. That may not be a big role for Big B but will certainly indicate the mood on the part of Bachchan camp to a patch up with Shah Rukh Khan.
It may be recalled that the cold war between the two giants of bollywood had heated up when Shah Rukh signed a contract with Star Plus for hosting ‘ Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and thereby replaced Big B from the show. The deal was worth crores and hurt the Bachchans financially as Big B was in negotiation with Star Plus for an increase in his remuneration for hosting the next season of the show. And the channel played game with Bachchan by replacing him altogether and opting for Shah Rukh as the new host.
Shah Rukh’s ‘ darindagi’ comment at an award function about Amar Singh further worsened the already strained relations between Big B and King Khan, as Amar Singh was very close to Big B and considered himself like a brother. Amar Singh had also helped Bachchans during their bad days when ABCL had gone defunct and they were facing almost bankruptcy.
In retaliation to Shah Rukh’s comment, Amar Singh ensured that Shah Rukh was not invited to Abhishek- Aishwarya marriage this year and that was followed by Shah Rukh’s refusal to attend IIFA function in London of which Big B was brand ambassador.
But now there seems to some signs of a big patch up between King Khan and Big B, what say??...Well…only Shah Rukh and Amitabh know the truth, no?? Is certain Karan Johar paying attention to the on going patch up why not call both of them on koffee with Karan to clear the air.
