| The latest news doing the rounds in the filmy circle is that our very own Mallika Sherawat is all set to put screen on fire as she is going to play a lead role of sexy club dancer Sheela in Feroz Khan’s remake of ‘ Qurbani.’ The sex bomb of Indian cinema, the voluptuous beauty known for her daring attitude, is definitely woman with a difference.

Mallika has surpassed the traditional image of Bollywood queens and has set a new trend in the Hindi film industry. She has always been in news because of her bold statements. The sizzling hot sexy siren of bollywood bagged the prestigious role in
"Qurbani"
the role which was in the original version of the film, was enacted by the then reigning queen of bollywood Zeenat Aman and her role had become a role model for future similar scenes. The ‘ Laila main Laila’ number, which was picturized on the svelte actress, had become a rage at that time. Soon after making the formal announcement about Mallika Sherawat, Feroz Khan is expected to start shooting for the film.

As an insider explains, ‘ Mallika Sherawat will be signing the film in a few days, but she has already given her consent. It took Feroz a really long time to find someone to play Sheela. Zeenat had played the role with the tremendous élan, so Mallika Sherawat is filling some very big shoes; but Feroz is confident she’ll pull it off.’
In the original version of the film Zeenat was the love interest of Feroz Khan but this time he will be enacting the character of police inspector (earlier played by Amzad Khan) and new club dancer will go to Fardeen Khan, who will be stepping into the shoes of his father. However, for the part played by Vinod Khanna in the earlier version, no actor has been finalized yet. Though Feroz Khan had originally selected Saif Ali Khan to essay the part of Vinod Khanna but Saif walked out of the project citing date problems.
Fardeen Khan was very upset with Saif Ali Khan for opting out of his home production and the relation between the two had become very tense. In order to teach Saif Ali a lesson, Fardeen Khan too walked out of Saif Ali starrer ‘ Race’, which was being produced by Ramesh Taurani and directed by Abbas- Mustan.
However, Fardeen Khan denies that he opted out of the Race to get even with Saif and instead gives dates problem as the main reason. He had given the dates of October month to the producers of Race but somehow they could not start the shooting for the film till January. Now, as Fardeen had already committed the January dates for Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heyy Babyy being directed by Sajid Khan, there was no way out left for him except to walk out from the Race.

| But Mallika seems to be truly on a
high as after enacting dancing diva Helen’s ‘ Mehbooba’ song in Himesh Reshammiya’s Aap Ka Surror, this will be another chance for the sex symbol of bollywood to step into the shoes of one of most loved sexy heroines of bollywood, Zeenat Aman. Mallika’s ample assets and oomph appeal are certainly going to make her role as a sexy club dancer in the new ‘ Qurbani’ a success.
But that’s not all Speculations are rife that the sex bomb will be now seen in the Kaabhi Alvida Na Kehna star director’s Karan Johar’s new film. Though there is no official confirmation of the rumours till date but it is believed that the news did originated and spread from the sets of one of recent talk shows of coveted director Karan with Sex Goddess.
The recording of the talk show took place recently in the Dharma Prodcution’s studio and was witnessed by the entire crew of Johar’s production house. It is said that even the families of the two celebrities had turned up to watch the hot babe in action. Mallika bewitched not only the entire gathering there but she was also able to cast her spell over the young and renowned, hard to be convinced director, Karan.
However, if the daring and hot Bollywood’s face is Karan’s next choice then the girl from small town has certainly bagged it. As for the audience, there will be some emotional and sensational masti to enjoy. Needless to say, it will be a worth watching. |
