not want his girlfriend to work with, like John
Abraham, Vivek Oberoi, among others. Until
recently, Katrina was quite obedient and followed
Sallu's wish. |

Katrina
finally rebelled and went ahead and signed a film
with Shahid Kapur, which has Salman seeing red.
Salman is furious now with girlfriend Kaif for
signing a film with Shahid Kapur without informing
or consulting him. Salman Khan and Shahid Kapur
are not on talking terms since the time of Rock
Stars show of last year. The film, which is a love
story and yet to be titled, is being directed by
ace filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi, with Shahid Kapur
in the lead and Katrina playing the love interest
of the main protagonist.

The grapevine has it that the fights between Salman Khan and Katrina have been continuously increasing and these relate mostly to her taking an independent stand in her career matters. Salman wants Katrina to respect his feelings and not to sign any films with the actors he is not on good terms with and till recently Katrina was silently following these things.

But now, when Kaif has given hits like ‘ Namastey London’ without Salman Khan, she does not want to restrict her career to any one actor and hence has started taking independent decisions to advance her career. The signing of Rajkumar Santoshi’s film should be seen in this light but Sallubhai and others see it as a way of ditching the macho actor after using him for launching her career.
Another example of Katrina Kaif defying Sallubhai was the incident when she flew to Australia to shoot for Vipul Shah’s upcoming ‘ Singh Is King’ without even informing the actor about it. Salman was very upset, as he came to knew about this only after calling her up. Sources say that perhaps Katrina Kaif did not want to tell Salman Khan that she was going to shoot with Akshay Kumar in Australia.

Because few days’ back she had to ditch Akki with whom she is doing maximum number’s of film and put him in a tight spot by refusing to go to Hong Kong for a Diwali show co-ordinated by him at the last moment. Akki was waiting for Katrina at the airport when her call came up informing him that she was unwell and won’t be able to make it.

In fact, Hong Kong’s party is an annual affair by Akki’s friend Kishore and his partners and Akshay makes it sure to attend it to perform with some stars from bollywood. This year, besides Akshay and Katrina, Shahid Kapur, Sajid Khan, Tanushree Dutta, Karan Johar also attended. But Katrina backed out at the last moment. Sources says Katrina Kaif’s illness was not real it was faked to please Sallu bhai, who does not like the super hit on- screen pair of Akki- Katrina making off screen appearances too.
But now the buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Katrina had not bothered to inform Salman Khan even about her film with Ranbir Kapoor, the latest heartthrob from the Kapoor clan. Katrina is working with the handsome Kapoor in Yash Raj Production’s upcoming venture. Sallubhai came to know about this project only from the newspapers.
Coming back to Shahid, Salman does not like his girlfriend to go ahead with the film. He is hurt that she would choose to work with his enemy and wants Katrina to back off from this prestigious project of Raj Kumar Santoshi and if she does not oblige him, the fights are likely to increase even further. But sources say that Katrina is too shrewd to sacrifice such a project for Sallu bhai and has already committed her dates. The wait is only for Shahid’s dates and nothing else before the film goes on the floors.
Seems tension is building up in the relationship of Katrina and Salman and if their fights increase further another bollywood couple is likely to go Shahid- Bebo way….no?? |
