Apparently, Saif is very keen to start a film with director Imtiaz Ali, the director of Jab We Met, costarring Deepika Padukone. Raghavan's film with Saif will start some time late next year, as the filmmaker is very busy with his John Abraham-Aishwarya starrer for producer Rohan Sippy. In the meantime, it is believed that Saif is very keen to start a film with Imtiaz Ali. He was very impressed with Jab We Met and had a long chat with Imtiaz as well. He loved one of Imtiaz's script and immediately roped in the director for his next film with Deepika. Saif than approached Deepika to star in his home production and the actress agreed, as she loved the script. She is expected to sign on the dotted line soon and is believed to be quite excited about the project. As for Kareena, Saif has roped her in for Agent Vinod.

While her debutant competitor, Sonam Kapoor has signed her next with Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan; Deepika has been cast for her second film opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is being made by Rohan Sippy and Nikhil Advani and will go on the floor in January. 


“Yes, we have signed Deepika and Akshay Kumar for our next. I think she is an amazing actress and has a lot of potential,” said Rohan Sippy in praise of the model-turned-actress. 

Come December and Deepika will start shooting for Yash Raj Films' production being directed by Siddharth Raj Anand. Her hero in the movie, Ranbir Kapoor, has already begun filming with Bipasha Basu.

Deepika seems to be one lucky girl, for as a debutant she got to work with none other than the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. And now in her second film, she will be seen with the King of Overseas, Akshay Kumar. 

Her debut movie "Om Shanti Om" has been a success but latest Bollywood sensation attributes it mostly to her co-star Shahrukh Khan.

The model-turned actress, who plays a traditional girl in the movie, is humble in her success and believes she has a long way to go in the tinsel world.

"When you start working in a movie, you never think that it's going to be a super hit. You just enjoy working," she said while referring to "Om Shanti Om" which was released last week and has been quite a success at the box office.

At the same time, she gives "a lot" of credit to her co-star Shahrukh Khan, who plays an actor in the film, which is based on the theme of re-incarnation.

Talk about the concept of rebirth or reincarnation to Deepika and she says she has no opinion on it.

"I have never given re-incarnation a thought actually," said the daughter of legendary badminton player Prakash Padukone.
