| “Adi wants to direct a movie. He has been working on the script for a while now. Initially, Yash uncle and Adi had a discussion about who would direct but now it’s been decided that Adi will take to the camera. He wants to direct this film,” says a source. Although Chopra has approached both the superstars for what is said to be a romantic film, both the actors are yet to sign on the dotted line. |

“As far as SRK is concerned, he is more than ready to work with Adi. He will never say no to Yash Raj. Hrithik however is another proposition. He is currently recuperating after his knee treatment. Then there is also Krrish 2 in the pipeline but Adi had met both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik and discussed about getting the two biggest stars of the country in one film together. And the meeting did have a favourable outcome,” adds the source.
The last time Aditya Chopra took the director’s seat it was for Mohabbatein where he brought together the two superstars of that era – SRK and Amitabh Bachchan. Prior to that, the reclusive director had debuted with Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which thirteen years later still continues to play in cinema houses.
Sticking to the Chopra banner's staple genre, he will be making a romantic film, "but it will have a dose of action and comedy also," informed the source.
Inevitably, Rani Mukherji is playing one of the roles. Preity Zinta is the other name being considered. Aditya would start working on the films pre-production in March in order to shoot around June-July this year. After Switzerland, Greece seems to have caught the fancy of the Chopras. Their underproduction film Tashan was shot there.
Besides Greece, the other locations will be Australia and Dubai, besides of course the sets of Yash Raj studio in Andheri. Chopra is contemplating releasing his movie in the summer of 2009.

| It sure looks like the Roshan-SRK alliance seems to be growing everyday. Recently, there was news that SRK and Hrithik will be sharing screen space in Krrish 2 as well with SRK playing the villain. Although the news was then denied, sources close to the film say that SRK and the Roshans are still very much in discussion. And that’s not all. Khan is expected to film an item song for Rakesh Roshan’s Krazzy 4 at Yashraj Studio.
On the persnal front also Adi has reformed his ways and is setricly following his parents wishes. What is actually going on in the Chopra household is surprising after the allied marriage rumours with Rani, if the onlookers are to be belived Aditya Chopra was spotted the other day, having dinner at a cosy restaurant with his --- hold it---'legally wedded wife'. They looked pretty happy together, says an eyewitness. Now, given that Rani and her family has been vehemently denying all rumours of the romantic liaison between the actress and Aditya, one wonders if it is actually over between the two?
We do know that the Chopras Sr have been opposing Rani’s liason with Aditya. While the world always presumed the real reason was the patriarch Yashsaab not wanting a filmi bahu and all that, the real reason is not Choprasaab. It's Pam Chopra who has always been very close to Payal, Aditya’s ex-wife.
Now it so happens, that although Pam is barely around 60, she is suffering from a very serious ailment. And the family fears to go ahead with the grand wedding plans lest the emotional tussle leads to a relapse. To give Rani her due, she, being the quintessential family girl would never want to alienate Aditya from his family, and yet what could she possibly do but wait for things to turn in her favour? Honestly all we wish for Rani and the Chopras is peace, they all deserve it. |
