The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that Babita is not against Saif Ali Khan as a person but against him becoming of her son- in -law. The reason is said to be the difference of ten years in the ages of Kareena and Saif, which she considers totally unacceptable. Kareena Kapoor is twenty-seven years old, while Saif Ali Khan is of thirty-seven years old. Babita thinks that Kareena is too young in comparison to Saif, who was nearing forty.

Earlier, when Kareena was seeing Shahid Kapur and going steady with him for almost three years, Babita had no problem. At that time she felt that the age factor was in Kareena’s favour. It’s another matter that Shahid’s boyish face looked misfit with Kareena, who looked senior and mature than her then beau.

The insiders say that another factor, which is going against Saif Ali Khan, is his earlier marriage with Amrita Singh and subsequent divorce. Saif Ali’s two children Sara and Ibrahim from his first marriage, which also creates a mental block for Bebo’s mother who does not want her bachelor daughter to be married to a person who was not only a divorcee but also a father of two kids.

Whatever mother might think of her relationship with Saif, Kareena Kapoor is going whole hog in showing her love to her beau and his children. On Wednesday, it was Saif Ali Khan’s son birthday and Bebo not only ensured that she wishes the birthday boy personally before leaving for London, but also showered him with his favorite gifts. The boy was elated and in this way Bebo also got her chance to cement her relationship with the whole family of Saif Ali Khan.

On the other hand Saif also never seems to fall short to show his love for Bebo after plying his girlfriend with the biggest and brightest diamonds (last count: two huge solitaires for her fingers, one tennis bracelet and a pair of diamond earrings, all worth around a crore each), the Chhote Nawab has decided to attain greater heights in love. We have been told Saif has chartered a private jet for his ladylove the cosy couple intends to profess undying love to each other at a height of 35,000 feet, as the jet flies over to sun-kissed Goa. There were rumors that Saif would ask Bebo to marry her on this Flight Of Love. Love, as they say, can make you do strange things!
