While Sonam was not available for comment her secretary claimed that she is just stressed out due to work. “She has not able to concentrate on her work so to relax herself she has gone to Bangkok with her friends and will be back next week to continue her shoot.”

During the filming of Saawariya, Sonam and Ranbir shared great chemistry off-screen. They were also seen holding hands during the Saawariya premiere and there were also reports that Neetu Singh was very happy with the Sonam-Ranbir relationship. While Ranbir has moved on and gone back to his old-time flame Deepika and has declared his love for Deep on more than one occasion Sonam still hasn’t got over her relationship with good friend Ranbir.

Insiders believe that now Sonam is planning to overtake Deepika in rat race and first step in this direction is to sign films with all the big names of bollywood her next film is with non other than nation heartthrob Abhishek Bachchan and to put the final icing on the cake she has signed Yash Raj most awaited and hyped project much anticipated 2008 release Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, with Shah Rukh who will portray a 40 year-old British Indian recluse and finds love in the company of a 16 year-old vibrant and bubbly Punjabi village belle.

For the role of the 16 year-old, Aditya Chopra have signed up Sonam after an extensive search by Yash Raj Films; a search, which included various talent, hunts staged in Punjab. However, the studio was not able to pick the right actress and, as time was running out and they wanted to begin shooting as soon as possible, Sonam was chosen.

A source told Indian daily Mumbai Mirror, “Aditya Chopra was very keen to have a tall, fair Punjabi girl for the role opposite Shah Rukh Khan. He has himself written the script and knows exactly what he wants in his heroine. The film deals with the love story of a 40-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl. Adi was also very finicky about signing the right girl because he was making his comeback to direction after a gap of eight years and wanted to get everything just so.” That’s give Sonam the much awaited chance to get one up on Deepika.

Deepika obviously thinks that she have arrived in life and its okay to look through the lady who’ given you your first break as well as the wife of one of the most important players in Bollywood none other than Badshah himself who is known to never forget never forgive attitude. Recently Miss Padukone failed to extend even basic courtesy towards Farah Khan and Gauri Khan at Manish Malhotra’s show. It seems she was too busy keeping some other esteemed company!

“Deepika was too busy showering Neetu Singh with all her attention. She didn’t find the time to go up and talk to either Farah or Gauri like she should have. She hasn’t met Farah since the release of Om Shanti Om and here too she didn’t go up to her, says a source.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif, Urmila Matondkar, Gauri Khan and Farah Khan attended manish Malhotra’s show at the LFW. And although the show wasn’t less on star quotient all the women made sure that they spoke and greeted one another.

“Deepika has been very ungrateful as far as Farah is concerned. In fact she failed to wish either her on her birthday or when she became a mother. But Farah is much above all this to make a big thing about it,” says the source.

Though Ran Deep pair is hottest at the moment its difficult to survive in bollywood by ignoring the King. With Bachchan Jr and King Khan on her side Sonam sure can feel delighted and assure of good times ahead at box office perhaps even giving sleepless nights to Deep.
