The production house wanted this venture to remain under wraps until they had the film ready for release. Though the film is yet to get its title but it has already been completely shot and is undergoing postproduction work. The production house has big plans for the promotional publicity campaign, which will be launched very soon.

Sources say that the production house had started the shoot for the film immediately after the completion of Shahid Kapur-Kareena Kapoor starrer ‘Jab We Met’ and completed it in one long schedule. As director Rohit is a close friend of Shahid Kapur, there were no hassles involved during the shooting of the film. While Sushmita Sen is playing the female lead in the film, Paresh Rawal plays a pivotal character in this secret venture.

The buzz doing the rounds in the industry is that this film could remain secret for such a long time only because most of the crewmembers, which worked in the film, were from outside India. Even the dance director, cinematographer and music composer were from the United States and so no one could spill the beans in the industry.

The film is likely to be released by August-September this year and production house has already started gearing up for a huge promotional campaign for the film. The only thing that is preventing them right now is the choice of a suitable name for the project; once it is done they will go whole hog on the publicity trail.

However, the production house is still in no mood to admit that the shooting has been completed and instead insists that the film will go on the floors by the end of May this year with a start to finish schedule. Though they do admit that the entire crew of the film will be from abroad and the film is likely to be shot in India as well as foreign locales.

Perhaps the production house wants to keep the film a secret to take advantage of the shock value at the box office, but the pairing of Shahid Kapur and Sushmita Sen looks strange and trade pundits are not very sure if the pair will work at the box office. Earlier, Shahid Kapur-Kareena Kapoor pairing had proved to be a hit at the box office in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’, but it was during the making of this film that seeds of separation were shown between them and finally they separated.

Currently, Shahid Kapur is single in his personal life though he has been linked with various beauties from Amrita Rao, Vidya Balan to Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza. It was during the Canadian spell of Aziz Mirza’s film that he was shooting with Vidya Balan and the two were supposed to have come close to each other and perhaps this had also affected Shahid-Kareena Kapoor relationship at that time.

Hmm…. hmm…. secrecy in Shahid’s love life is understandable…. but the whole movie being kept under wraps is something that defies logic. …. After all films need publicity to survive at the box office. Simple logic…don’t they understand even that much…huh!!
