But the music launch event fortunately got them together. Witty wordplay was the highlight of the event and the celebrities were seen and heard mouthing some amusing one-liners. On the very outset, when Amitabh Bachchan arrived onstage, a strange sound played in the backdrop, which happened to be a part of the background score of the film. Now the background score of RGV films are known for its eerie effect to which Big B replied, "This shows my mood for the evening".

When Aishwarya stepped onstage, a sad background score was played and the actress laughingly remarked, "Ramu, I am sure you have kept this background theme especially for me".

Post the dismal failure of Aag, Sarkar Raj is touted throughout as the comeback film of Ram Gopal Varma. When Ramu was asked on the same on whether he considered Sarkar Raj as his comeback film, he wittily replied, "It is a comeback film for the audience".

When Aishwarya was asked how was it to work with husband Abhishek when in the film they are not romantically paired opposite each other, Abhishek immediately quipped, "Do you mean we lack chemistry?" RGV added to it saying, "This is what happens after marriage" directing his remark towards Abhishek.

When RGV was asked if Tanisha dies in the film to make both Abhi Ash come together and also in same breath asked if Abhishek too dies in the film, Abhishek Bachchan immediately quipped, "So that Tanisha and Aishwarya come together in the film?" To which Amitabh Bachchan continued saying, "If this goes on for 6 more minutes, you guys will kill everyone". RGV only exclaimed, "What murders!"

Finally some journalist said to Amit ji, “If you keep blogging, we will lose our jobs”. To this the ever-clever Amitabh Bachchan retorted, "You are most welcome. Join me!”

Even Ash, who till recently was uncomfortable fielding media questions on her pregnancy, has now learnt to take them in her stride. At an event in Gurgaon to promote the film she told the press, "I am not pregnant," without looking as if she had committed blasphemy.

A news report recently said that Aishwarya and husband Abhishek had bought a villa in Dubai inspired a section of the press to allude that they had done so to escape media attention during Aishwarya's pregnancy!

"I am sitting here in front of you. So, it is not true that we have got a bungalow in Dubai to hide (pregnancy) from the media," she said. "We are not expecting a baby. In case we do, we will let you know. We will not rob you of that moment," husband Abhishek added with a tinge of sarcasm. The media speculation was silly because the property in Dubai will not be ready for occupation till 2010.

While Aishwarya was at it, she also denied having played the diva by buying shades valued at Rs 1 million for use on set during the filming of Sarkar Raj. "I am not wearing a Rs.1 million worth sunglass in the film as reported by the media," she said.

Ash also rubbished the rumours that she snubbed Shah Rukh Khan at Karan Johar birthday bash recently. It may be recalled that everyone's been talking about the big birthday bash Karan Johar threw for his friends. It was reported that the birthday boy had a really tough time managing his warring friends Shah Rukh Khan and the Bachchans as both were invited to the party.

Though Amitabh and Jaya preferred not to attend the party for the reasons best known to them Abhi was present at the celebrations along with wife Aishwarya. Sources said that much to the delight of the onlookers, Ash stuck to her hubby, forming her own little group, refusing to acknowledge SRK. So much so, she refused to pose for pictures with SRK even in the background. The groups stuck to their respective corners, refusing to circulate among the guests and KJo, poor guy, had to come up to Ash every time he wanted to speak to her. But with Aishwarya denying the whole story as imaginative by media it leaves the question of rivalry between Big B and SRK wide open when asked Ash replied “ What rivalry Pa is above all these pity issues Shah Rukh is a friend and I think Pa cleared this in his blog recently now its up to the media to believe us or not but our fans do and at end of the day that’s what matters”.

Now that’s a big change from a media shy Aishwarya to look into the eye and answer the media a very true Bachchan style well Ash has always been a quick learner so with such interesting off-screen rapport, we only expect the onscreen chemistry between the Bachchans to be splendid. What say guys!
