Her fan following is increasing, is she going to start a blog soon? “I’m a very shy person. I reach out to my fans through my films, beyond that I am not someone who talks a lot. Starting a blog means updating your viewers with what’s happening in your life on a daily basis, which I can’t do. I need my personal space,” says the actress.

And what, according to her, makes her the Sexiest Woman in the World? “I think people just like me in the type of roles that I do. I won’t say that I want to do highly dramatic or intellectual films because perhaps that’s not what my fans would like to see me in,” says the actress. “Every actor reaches a certain stage in life when he or she thinks that they have to do different kind of cinema, but right now I am content,” says the sexy woman whose good friend Salman Khan, too, apparently features in the list of the Sexiest Men in the World. When are the two going to star in a film together? “I’m doing Subhash Ghai’s Yuvraj with him,” says Kats.

Katrina, cautious about being branded sexy, says she is just happy at having received over 5 lakh votes in the poll to pick the sexiest woman, an indication that she has the support of many people. "There is a very thin line between being an attractive woman and overtly sexy…For me it's important to be attractive to the family audience. At the same time, it's crucial to have my young fans too," she says.

Asked how she would define sexiness, Katrina says, "When a woman looks as if she has something to offer…A woman is a package. It is not about a physical look - her body, or her face, or her hair - it is about everything put together. When you see a picture of this woman and say - Wow! This person would be really interesting to talk to…she must be interesting to be with..."

Still on a high after performing at the recently concluded IIFA in Bangkok, Katrina Kaif is enjoying the wishes and accolades that are coming her way. Dancing to a medley of her hit numbers, Katrina's biggest regret is, "I wish Akshay Kumar could have joined me on stage, but as he flew in a night before, we could not rehearse together." Although she did not win any award for her histrionics, she grabbed the style icon award at the IIFA.

After a whirlwind shoot of Vipul Shah's Singh is Kinng, which was shot across the three continents of Asia, Africa and Australia, Kats will be planning for her Yashraj film. Not bad for a girl who was written off as just another english speaking phirangi trying her hand at hindi films.

Katrina made her debut in the industry with Kaizad Gustad's Boom. The film bombed and her career was declared doomed. But she made a comeback with a cameo in RGV's Sarkar followed by films like Partner, Namastey London and Race. She adds, "There were abundant roles which would begin with the word ‘s' and end at ‘y'. But I cautiously stayed away from such roles. I guess it has paid off well."

Recently there were rumours about Katrina planning to go the arty way with a Bengali film. Ask her and she refutes. "No... I don't plan things. I take each moment as it comes. I am not here to prove anything, but to enjoy. And I'll work in the kind of films I am going to enjoy ." However, there's a Yash Raj film to be directed by Kabir Khan of Kabul Express fame, and Katrina accepts that it would be different from all that she has done so far. Interestingly, a decade back her boyfriend Salman Khan was voted as the 17th sexiest man in the world. Ask her, if she knew about him then and pat comes the reply, "Of course."

Katrina gives all credit to God for her achievements. "I think hits or flops should be left to God," she says. "I am not nervous about my films because there's no pressure on me to deliver. So what does she look for in a script before she takes up a project? "I look at the film's logic," Katrina replies. "It should appeal to me. I also look at the production house and its capacity to make it a successful film."

Katrina shrugs off rumours about an 'affair' with Akshay Kumar "It's all a part of life. I have worked in a few films with him and we are nothing more that just co-stars. Besides, I have many other things to worry about than ponder over such issues."
