People who know Shah Rukh well are sure that this is just a clam before the storm King is waiting just for the right time to strike back, never to give up his fighting spirit he is just gearing up for the next battle ahead. This year had been full of controversies for him be it his face-off with Salman or very recent smoking controversy that hit the headlines few days back. It was reported that King Khan was found smoking on the campus of a Sikh institution in Amritsar while shooting for Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Smoking is strictly prohibited in Sikh religion and in all Sikh institutions and if SRK is found guilty then he had to face the consequence.
Apart from this his much hyped TV show “Kya Aap Pachvi pass se Tez hai’’ failed to impress the public despite all the star power and star guests, the TRP of the show never picked up and it was decided to take the show off air in the middle. If that was not enough SRK is a constantly facing health problem and is feeling sidelined with Bachancns, Akshay and Salman moving closer. Already there are reports of his cold war with Big B, Akki is considered the only threat to SRK crown and Salman we all know never forgive once he starts a war that puts almost half of the industry in one camp and Shah Rukh is left with few of his trusted friends like Karan Johar, Farah Khan and Aditaya Chopra.
Insiders say that Shah Rukh is keen to woo the Bachchans back and is even planning to do a film with none other than Big B himself. It’s reported that Yash Chopra is leaving no stone unturned to break the ice between the two biggest stars of bollywood. Earlier the buzz was that Yash Chopra wanted to remake his classic hit ‘Kabhie Kabhie’ with Shah Rukh and Amitabh in the lead. But it has now come to light that this film with SRK and Amitabh would not be a remake and will have a fresh romantic story line keeping in mind the changing times.
As of now the first and foremost worry for King Khan is his next ambitious project “Billoo Barber” which was slated to release soon is postponed. With Rajnikanth film Kuselan's flopping Shah Rukh Khan is not ready to take any chances, he has decided to push ahead his produced film, Billoo Barber (based on the same Malayalam film that Kuselan was) to February 2009.
Sources tell us, "Billoo Barber was confirmed for a Diwali 2008 release but its now going to come anytime between January end to mid February. There are two songs to be shot and also there are some scenes that are being re-shot.
This re-shooting is being especially done to avoid mistakes that Kuselan had. The film was not well received by even the most ardent of Rajnikanth fans. SRK doesn't want the same to happen to his film. He is also making sure the length of his film is not very long like Kuselan (180 minutes) was."
One more reason for the postponement is that Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi directed by Aditya Chopra is slated for a December 12th release. SRK doesn't want to bring both his films almost together and end up over exposing himself. We all know how much SRK goes all out of his way to promote his films. It may result in two much too soon for him if he brings both films in a gap of weeks and SRK knows it well.
The industry talk is that Adi Chopra's film is a safer bet for SRK as his next release because Billoo Barber is unlike any previous Shah Rukh Khan starrer film. It's a very serious film and no one can predict its fate at the box office. The Yash Raj film however marks the return of Aditya Chopra to direction after a long gap of 8 years and is much more anticipated by SRK fans than Billoo Barber." the source adds before concluding.
Shah Rukh is leaving nothing to chance with Akshay giving back to back hits King Khan cant afford to go wrong with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and he is doing everything to make it the biggest hit of 2008. All those who were waiting to have another glimpse of King Khan's envious six-packs, are in for a disappointment of sorts! Well, not exactly once we hear out what Shahrukh Khan has to say about his upcoming Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
Speaking about his role and get up in the Aditya Chopra directed venture, opposite debutante Anushka Sharma, SRK reveals that he has not worked out for four months. And this was intentional, as he did not want to show off his muscles, rather those famous six-pack "Dard-E-Disco" abs of Om Shanti Om. The actor discloses the reason behind the same and it is a very logical and an interesting one. He explains that the muscles were coming in the way of the character that he is playing in “Rab Ne ...”.
