For those who thought that they knew it all about this girl, let us tell you that this issue will surely reveal how wrong you were! The shoot for the photo took place in London and coincided with the last leg of Amitabh Bachchan's “Unforgettable” World Tour, which was concluded recently only. In an interview to NDTV news channel from London, Aishwarya said that she did the cover for Vogue India to fulfill the promise she had given to Anaita (Shroff Adajania); right from the time the latter joined Vogue. She further added that though she was to do the shoot in August, her illness prevented her from doing so and she finally managed to do it on time in London. In her new slim avatar, ace photographer Farrokh Chothia clicked the diva. She sported an "au naturale" look for the photo, completely devoid of any accessories. Denise Rabor did her make-up, with hairstyle being the creation of Josh Wood.
Aishwarya is in Brazil right now shooting for Shankar's Endhiran (formerly called Robot) with Southern superstar but her heart's here in Mumbai she said. Aishwarya is keen on joining Abhishek Bachchan for the premiere of Drona. Aishwarya was initially supposed to take a four-day break and return to Brazil. But considering the restraints it would put on the producers, she decided to complete her job and return to India once and for all. It seems even as Abhishek is a bundle of nerves for Drona, Aishwarya is quite confident of the film and her hubby dearest.
Right from doing ‘Endhiran’ with Rajnikanth which will the most expensive film made in India with a titanic budget of 120 crores, Aishwarya was paid a whopping 6 Crores to play the female lead. She has now become the highest paid Bollywood actress in history and now appearing on the cover of most fashionable magazine ‘Ashiwarya Rai Bachchan’ is certainly on the roll.
Vogue cover is the third of the three punches she pulled in the past couple of weeks. Earlier she signed mega- budget flick ‘Ravan’ with hubby Abhishek Bachchan to be directed by none other than Mani Rathnam. Mani’s projects are always a well-guarded secret. In fact, those associated with the film are sworn to secrecy. Right from the star cast to the subject, everything about the film is kept under wraps, away from the prying eyes of the media. The film is believed to be love triangle and will also star the top actor from South, Vikram. The shooting is expected to commence shortly.
Last but not the least she has beaten down her arch rival Katrina Kaif by entering in her fortress. After the mega hit of 'Singh is Kinng' the golden team of Akshay Kumar and Vipul Shah are back with a venture titled 'Action Replay'. Akki and Vipul have been together ever since 'Aankhen' days and Katrina Kaif was also becoming a prominent member of this team. Vipul casted Katrina in two of his biggest hits 'Namaste London' and 'Singh is Kinng', but the latest news is that Vipul has approached Ash for his next venture.
Ash is the number one choice for 'Action Replay' and she has shown interest in Vipul's venture. If Ash refuses to do 'Action Replay' then Vipul has Katrina as his second choice however he is determined to get Ash for this venture. 'Action Replay' is a period film, a set replicating Bombay city in the 1950's will be set up in Karjat for the film. The female leading role in 'Action Replay' requires a very strong actor hence Vipul opted for Ash over Kat.
This really calls for a feast in Bachchan’s household with every member of the family going strong in Bollywood Aishwarya only add to the glamour and glitz of the First family of Bollywood. So if you happen to spot an absolutely gorgeous looking magazine cover somewhere in a newsstand, know that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would be gracing the cover.
