Shah Rukh said: "I am excited to see Abhishek in the film. I think he has really put in great efforts for the film and I wish him all success.” In an exclusive chit-chat with press Shah Rukh spoke of his association with the Bachchans, “Abhishek and I are good friends, I am certainly looking forward for ‘Drona’, that’s what brings me here.”

The entire Bachchan family was present on the occassion. Aishwarya alongside husband Abhishek graced the red carpet in a dazzling Blue outfit. Aishwarya has flown back to Mumbai from a shooting schedule in South America to be with her hubby for the premiere of 'Drona'. Aishwarya looking at her best in an off-shoulder dress sought media's help in the success of the film.

"He (Abhishek) is a darling and I am very happy for him and entire team's effort. So looking forward to Drona and you (the media) do your job and invite the audience to watch the film," said Aishwarya.

Bollywood Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan congratulated the makers of the film for its unique presentation and said Bachchan family's expectations about it are high.

"This is our profession. In our profession we make films and want the public to appreciate them. In this film Goldie, Abhishek and Priyanka have done the same and as colleagues we are putting in an effort that people should like the film. The movie was certainly enjoyable the visual effects were good. About the success of the movie, I really cannot predict anything right now. You will have to watch it and find out for yourself.” said Amitabh.

Talking to media Abhishek said, “ ‘Drona’ is no super hero movie, you have to watch it to like it. And yes I am very happy my entire family is here, Ash is here, and a lot of my friends are here too. So, just wishing that ‘Drona’ does well with the audiences.”
If you thought an invitation to the Drona premiere is the only peacemaking effort between the Bachchans and SRK there's more to it. The Kapoor sisters - Karisma and Kareena were also invited to the premiere. Thus the discord between the Kapoors and Bachchans ever since Abhishek's engagement with Karisma ended on a bitter note finally had an amicable conclusion.

Apparently, it was Drona's director and Abhishek's childhood friend, Goldie Behl who played peacemaker.    When contacted, Goldie said, “Karisma and Kareena are my cousins. My mother Madhu Behl (fondly known as Bubbles) was a Kapoor before marriage. She is the daughter of veteran actor Kamal Kapoor.”

Incidentally, this is the first Bachchan premiere for which the Kapoor sisters have been invited since the marital alliance between the two families ended. The Kapoors too are willing to respond warmly to this peacemaking gesture. Kareena openly said that she would like to work with Abhishek again after their debut film, Refugee and Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon. But, Abhishek has always maintained a stoic silence. However, Abhishek too is ready to make peace.

Expressing his approval of the Kapoor sisters' presence at the Drona premiere, Abhishek said, “I would love to work with Bebo (Kareena) again. She was my first heroine and that makes her very special.”

From the film industry, the attendees included Yash Chopra, Sooraj Barjatya, Karan Johar, Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra, Farhan Akhtar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Shahid Kapur, Sushmita Sen, Farah Khan, Harman Baweja, Kunal Kapoor, and Sajid Khan, Twinkle Khanna (Kumar), Anil Kapoor & Sonam Kapoor and hosts of other stars. So with the Premiere of Drona Bachchans once again prove their mantle in bollywood as the first family of film fraternity.
