Now when Abhishek has refused to be part of it, they are planning to rope in another big star for the same role. They will require this character for their next schedule. Let’s see who bags that role especially after all the negative publicity the film has been getting.

First it was rumoured that Rani is ghost directing the film, as she is not confident of the directorial skills of the debutant Anurag Singh. And now we hear that Aditya Chopra has hit the panic button after he saw the rushes of the first schedule, and has cancelled all further shooting of this film.

Known to be a taskmaster, Chopra's target this time is director Anurag Singh "The unit was supposed to go on the next schedule in early December, however that has been put on hold," said a unit member. The source also tells that it was on Rani's behest that Adi took the drastic step. Apparently the actress was so unhappy with the way the film was shaping up, she was actually ghost directing some of the scenes.

"It is believed that Adi's stern action has been influenced by Rani's discontentment with the film," the source further adds, "After the debacle of Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, the actress has started taking an active interest in watching the rushes of and discussing the script and other details with Adi. She isn't satisfied with the film's progress and has expressed her displeasure to Adi."

Rani Mukherjee could very well be considered the only actress in B-Town who threw it all away when she was right there at the top. She was a fine actress with great screen presence. The biggest mistake this hazel-eyed beauty made was that she confined herself to her favourite Yash Raj camp. Now she’s in the desperate need of a comeback film and she’s doing everything for it.Yash Raj next with Shahid is the only film she has and will be her only release in 2009.

After Rakeysh Mehra's Dilli 6, Abhishek has sign up for Delhi Belly director Abhinay Deo's next. Deo, who is the son of veteran actors Ramesh and Seema Deo, will plunge into his next project with Abhishek after he wraps up the Imran Khan starrer.

Deo, a successful ad filmmaker, is best remembered for his Nike cricket mania commercial. Abhishek admits, "Yes, I'm doing Abhinay Deo’s film. I've always been impressed by his ads. When I heard he was making feature films I was keen to work with him."

Abhishek says 2008 has been a great learning experience, "My first release this year was Sarkar Raj. I went on to Drona. Now I end the year with Dostana. Then comes Delhi 6. I'm happy with the work I've done regardless of whether the film has been successful or not. The important thing is to enjoy the journey. I look back on the year with fond memories."

Another major project on the anvil is with wife Aishwarya. It's a film based on Abhimaan with Rajiv Menon. Admits Abhishek, "Yes, Rajiv is a dear friend. He directed Aishwarya earlier in the Tamil film. He approached us with a subject that isn't exactly a remake of Abhimaan. But it’s very similar. We've both attached ourselves to the subject. Then I'm also doing Rohan Sippy’s next. We'll try to do something as different as Bluff Master. I'm also doing Rakeysh Mehra's Paanch Kaurav with Pa and Mani sir Ravan with Ash."
