Salman’s close friends revealed that Salman has even started distancing himself from 'Veer' actress Zarine Khan, who looks strikingly similar to Katrina the reason is girlfriend Katrina Kaif's presence on the sets.

The shooting of 'Veer' at Film City begins by 2 pm and ends promptly at 6 pm, Katrina regularly visits the sets and hangs around till the day's shoot wraps up. A source from the sets of 'Veer' said, "Zarine Khan is making every effort to get friendly with Salman. However, Salman is in a different mood ever since the shooting at Film City began. Incidentally, he turned aloof just when Katrina started visiting him on the sets. Considering that Katrina seldom visits Salman's sets, this new development has caught the unit of the film off guard."

Commenting on how Salman ignores his Katrina look-alike actress Zarine, we were told, "Often Zarine pulls up a chair to sit near Salman but he does not pay attention. When Zarine tries to talk to Salman, he only replies in monosyllables. This only discourages her further. And if Kat is around, Salman only pays attention to Katrina by spending all his free time with her."

Vijay Galani, producer of 'Veer' said, "Katrina came to Film City on Tuesday, though she has come to the sets of 'Veer' a few times earlier too. But Katrina and Zarine get along very well." Katrina did not deny that she had been on the sets of 'Veer' and said, "Yes, I did go to the sets of 'Veer' but only one day. That's because Anil Sharma, the director of 'Veer' is my friend."

Friends insist that Salman has this weakness for helping out young actresses with advice. It’s no secret that Salman shaped Katrina’s career by giving her the right platform and publicity. Now Katrina is afraid that history might repeat itself in Zarine Khan.

Though Salman pretends to be very strong and bold, he too falls weak in many circumstances and who can know his weakness in a better way other than his beau, Katrina. Speaking in an interview Katrina recently revealed her beau’s biggest weakness. "He (Salman) likes to act tough but it is so easy to win him over. Anyone who wants to get close to him only has to act defenceless, play the underdog and say, 'I have no friends and no one loves me.' Bas, Salman will adopt that person," Katrina is quoted as saying.

Friends close to the couple say’s that Katrina gets very disturbed as ghosts from Salman’s romantic past keeps popping up. Recently Salman’s ex-girlfriend, Sangeeta Bijlani attended Salman’s very private birthday bash at his Panvel farmhouse interestingly, Sangeeta’s husband, ex-cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin, was nowhere to be seen at the event.

The politically correct Sangeeta wished Salman and then promptly mingled with other guests at the party. Reveals our source, “Sangeeta and Salman were cordial with each other. The two met at such a personal affair after a long gap and both shared a special moment.” It hardly needs to be recalled that Salman and Sangeeta were quite a couple in the 1990s, when Sallu was making his mark as an actor. Later with the arrival of Somy Ali in Salman’s life, Sangeeta opted out.

Though the function was meant to be a small affair almost hundred guests had gathered on the occasion to wish Sallubhai and enjoy the famous Khan hospitality. But Katrina’s absence on his birthday party has surprised observers and they smell something fishy in all these.However, her absence was more than made up by the presence of oomph girls of the industry like Mallika Sherawat, Asin of ‘Ghajini’ fame and Zarine Khan, Salman’s co-star in upcoming film ‘Veer.’

Asin, who recently sizzled with Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajini’, was seen cheering for Salman. Sallubhai had struck a very good rapport with the dashing lady while shooting for the ‘London Dreams’ and so her presence was expected. But what was not expected was Kat’s absence from the bash.
