In fact, the Censor Board has told the producer Mukesh Bhatt to completely delete the sequence if he wanted the film to see the light of the day at all. Even after the deletion of the sequence, the film has been accorded and 'A’ certificate from the board, despite of heated arguments between the officials and Mukesh Bhatt, who wanted an u/a certificate for the film. Before arriving on this decision, the board officials had seen the entire ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’ last night with Mukesh Bhatt.
Now, the only option open to producer Mukesh Bhatt is to approach the revising committee of the Censor Board. If revising committee did not find the sequence objectionable, it might allow the scene or at least might give the film u/a certification to enable it to reach to the wider audience.
Sources say that Kangana Ranaut is shown nude in the scene where a ghost attacks her for the first time in the film. The Bhatt camp had argued with the Censor Board that the scene was taken with Kangana wearing a body suit and so it must not be cut from the film.
But, the Censors officials felt that ravishing Kangana might have worn a body suit while giving the nude scene for the film, but the wider audience in the theatres won’t take it that way. The audience would certainly take this as if Kangana was giving the shot without any clothes on her body.
When Mukesh was asked for a picture from the sequence he said, "I don't want to release the picture as then I may have more difficulty in getting a U certificate for this film. I want a bigger audience for the film,” When told that irrespective of whether he gave the picture or not, the censors would do their job anyway but Mukesh was adamant did not part with the picture. Even Kangana was apprehensive about releasing the picture to the media.
Vinayak Azad (Regional Officer, Censor Board) confirmed on Friday evening that his panel has ordered Vishesh Films to delete Kangana's nude scene. He said, "My officers have told me that they had told Vishesh films to delete the nude scene. Despite the deletion of the scene, the film will have an A certificate since there is a lot of horror content in it."
Our source clarified, "Obviously, Kangana did not shoot in the nude and she wore a body suit to create an illusion. But the Censors' objection is valid since the viewer will definitely feel that Kangana is nude in the scene."
Funnily, Mukesh Bhatt is still living in denial. After we spoke to Vinayak Azad, he told us, 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' has got a UA certificate.
Raaz- The Mystery Continues’ stars Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman in the main lead. Though, Kangana is an established star, Adhyayan Suman is trying to make his presence felt with this film, as his debut film had proved a non- starter at the box office. Emraan Hashmi, the serial kisser of bollywood, also features in this Mohit Suri directed flick.
The movie is a sequel to earlier Bipasha Basu-Dino Morea’s super hit ‘Raaz’ made by Bhatt camp. In that film by her sizzling hot performances, Bipasha Basu had put the screen on fire and gained an instant stardom in bollywood.
Perhaps, Kangana Ranuat is also trying to do the same with her bold nude sequence in ‘Raaz- The Mystery Continues’ what say?
