Why a horror film?
Why not? Everybody is doing run-of-the-mill stuff. Here, you get an opportunity to do something that you believe in and that is truly different. My films have been mostly different. I have been dying in most of my films! I have always been fascinated by the darker side and Raaz gives me an opportunity to explore that. That is why I was excited when I was offered this script.

This is your second film with Kangana after Gangster. How was the experience of working with her?
She is a fine actress. She has done a good job in this film too. She is spontaneous and we have always had a good chemistry on and off screen.

You have always been a part of the Bhatt camp. why not work under other banners as well?
They exploit me for being family! But they also know how to get the best out of me. It is nice to have people whom you know. They know how to pull the strings and get it out of you. We share the same sensibilities as far as films go. . The kinds of films I want to do are different from the films you see in Bollywood. I really can't stand that.

Have you ever wondered why -- in spite of giving so many hits -- you do not fall under the A-listers bracket in Bollywood?
I don't want to be. I don't understand the lists people make. I am arrogant enough to think that I am the best. I don't need another person's approval to tell me if I am good or not. I don't need an award ceremony to tell me that. Most of the award ceremonies are like a re-run of the past year. I wouldn't want to go for an award ceremony like that. If they give me an award, it's fine. But I will not go there and clap for someone whom I think doesn't deserve it. When my films start failing, and the audiences don't accept it, then I should worry. I don't really care much for the critics.

If u could work with anyone dead or alive who would it be?
