Sources point out that it is not uncommon in the US or Europe to write tacky things and make films on the lives of celebrities, but in India this is yet to begin, and Saif certainly does not wish Kareena and himself to be the subject of all this.

Another theory doing the rounds in the industry is that Saif has been told that the main character of the film is a prostitute. Even Saif Ali Khan’s character will be known as ‘Saifee’ (remember Kareena Kapoor lovingly calls Saif Ali Khan ‘Saifu’), and all this has further infuriated him about the whole misadventure.

In fact, Saif Ali is of the view that someone was trying to derive undue advantage out of his intense love story by making a film. It’s a cheap thing to do and would prove very offensive for Kareena Kapoor’s image in bollywood.

In the meantime Bebo wants to play safe. She wants the intimate scene between her and Saif to be chopped out in their forthcoming film Rensil D’Silva’s ‘Qurbaan’ where Saif and Kareena come too nearer which may look little awkward in the eyes of their respective parents.

Kareena has done many hot sequences with her co-stars in films like Fida, Tashan and Kambakkht Ishq but when it comes to make love with her real life beau, she avoided. She is not at ease in making love with Saif on screen, as every single member of her family will watch it. But the regret is that she could not complain now as she had already made the commitment.

Doing love scenes with Kareena for Rensil’s film was not easy for Saif too. How far to go with the comfort level? That was Saif’s dilemma. Though they’ve acted together in J.P Dutta’s LOC and Yashraj Films’ Tashan, Saif Ali Khan had so far not done intimate scenes with his lady love Kareena. 

But in Rensil d’Silva’s film, which he insists on calling Jehad, Saif finally gets up close and personal with the love of his life. Says Saif, “It’s a love story A very passionate story with a relevant and disturbing theme. And yes there’re kissing scenes. See, Rensil is shooting a very real and contemporary film. We can’t have flowers touching one another to show intimacy. At the same time we wouldn’t do anything that would make us squirm while watching the film with our parents. Yes, there’re scenes of kissing and intimacy which have been done tastefully and within the limits of decorum.” 

Saif says he had to be constantly conscious of the fact that it was the woman he loved he was making love to on screen. “Obviously having her as my co-star made it easier to be intimate. And it would be the easiest thing in the world for me to say I’ve done intimate scenes with other co-stars and doing them with Kareena was the same. But that won’t be true. Having her with me made me feel more responsible. I didn’t want to end showing off my relationship by accentuating the intimacy. So it was a double-edged sword but at the end of the day we’re all actors.” 

Considering the film belongs more to Saif, is he happy to see Kareena take the backseat? “It’s hard to say whose film it is. It’s her movie as much as mine. Hers is a great role with great dramatic potential.” 

Let’s see whether Kareena Kapoor could convince her director and get the intimate love scenes deleted from the film!
