Abhishek’s wish was granted a few years later when he and Ash were in New York City for the premiere of their film Guru. Right after the premiere, Abhishek took her to the same balcony and popped the question. “After the premiere, we were back in the hotel…So I took her to the very same balcony, and I asked her to marry me,” Abhishek disclosed even as Ash kept smiling sitting on the couch next to him.

The couple married in 2007 and started a new chapter of their life. Rather than living separately, they chose to live with Abhi’s parents Ash, said that living with in-laws is normal for Indian brides. “It's normal It's absolutely natural to us I lived with my parents before we got married, so it's a natural thing.”

To which Abhishek replied, ''It's nice to stay with your parents. We live under the same roof. There's one rule set by my mom that if you are in the same city then you have to have one meal together.''

The couple also spoke about the interpretation of romance in Bollywood. Speaking of kissing in films, Abhishek said romance is expressed differently in Indian films than in Hollywood. “For example, boy meets girl, they fall in love, and they want to express their love for each other. So in the West, they would kiss, and they're in love. In India, we have a song…you have this intimate moment, and suddenly - snap, cut - you're in the mountains singing and dancing!” Abhishek said. “It's so much fun,” Ash chipped in smilingly.

When asked what is it like being married to the most beautiful woman in the world? Abhi said, "Pleasant on the eyes. Yeah, and she looks exactly the same. No, it’s true, you wake up and you are like ‘really’, even in the morning!" To which Ash added smilingly "You can see why I married him, he just makes everything funny." said the most beautiful woman in the world.

Ash said that she loves to hang out with family and friends on her day off. The actress also spoke about how media has been speculating about her pregnancy ever since the couple got married in 2007. She said, ''I have been proclaimed pregnant a couple of times. Ever since we got married they have been watching every little bulge. So there was a lot of that happening.''

Talking about gifts and Aishwarya said, "I think time is the most precious gift we can give to each other." Abhishek agreed, "I think that is the one thing you really strive for is your privacy and your time to be as normal as possible, because we do such an extra-normal job. You go out there... you sing... you dance...you beat up 50 guys. You know, we do things that might not be believable, so when you come back home normalcy is really what you look for."

And if appearing as the powerful couple on world most watched talk show was not enough the golden couple, the stunningly beautiful bahu of the first family of Bollywood and her dashing husband have been paid a whopping Rs 25 crore to shoot for a soap commercial. 

Sources close to Bachchans reveal that Aishwarya and Abhishek had been in negotiations with various product makers for a mega endorsement deal to enhance the value of Bachchan brand, but things took a bit longer to fall in place. However, now everything has been finalized and deal is through for the first ever Aishwarya Rai-Abhishek Bachchan endorsement deal. 

The sources close to the corporate house reveal that they agreed to pay the huge amount to the couple, as it was for the first time that they would be endorsing a product together. Aishwarya’s appeal amongst the masses cannot be ignored even after marriage, and presence of Abhishek will only boost her appeal to family audiences.

In any case, the endorsement market is soaring with mega deals so it was not very surprising if the soap makers chose to go for the most glamorous couple of bollywood for their products.

This endorsement deal has certainly made Bachchans the biggest brand of bollywood. This is especially so when it is calculated that Amitabh Bachchan still rules the roost with numerous products from reputed Indian companies and now AbhiAsh too have joined the bandwagon.

Abhishek-Aishwarya branding power is likely to be enhanced further after the release of their mega-budget flick like Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavana,’ where they will be seen together after ‘Guru’ and ‘Sarkar Raj.’ After all its one fairy tale romance that has come true from reel to real a happy ending.
