Whether Katrina will be able to score upon Priyanka Chopra in sex appeal remains to be seen but she is certainly scoring in grabbing prestigious projects, which were offered to Priyanka. The two ladies were to come together for Abbas Mustaan's home production a remake of The Italian Job but that isn't happening anymore. There are various versions of why Priyanka is no longer in the film.

In fact Abbas-Mustaan and Priyanka go back since Aitraaz and they were keen on repeating her. When they started working on their home production, they signed Abhishek Bachchan and Katrina Kaif for the main leads but had one more interesting role for another heroine in the film, for which they approached Priyanka.

Apparently, Priyanka too was keen to work with the director duo again. However, Katrina was not comfortable at another actress being added to the cast at a later stage. She spoke to the directors and told them to ensure that she had the bigger role. Or at least equal footage in the film or she would walk out.

Abbas-Mustaan had no choice but to appease Katrina, as she was already signed. Priyanka (the National award winning actress) is feeling let down by the director duo but is putting up a brave front by maintaining that she was never approached for the role. A stance adopted by Abbas-Mustaan too as they feel bad about the way the whole thing ended.

Katrina says, "As of now there's nothing final on that film as I am currently sorting out my dates for my films starting now so I haven't even looked into The Italian Job." 

Abbas-Mustaan says: "We had never approached Priyanka for any role so there's no question of her not being in the film. Katrina and Abhishek are the only two people signed on for the film. There is scope for a second heroine who has a very good role but we haven't decided yet which actress to approach.

Katrina is selecting her roles with utmost care. Her projects in 2010 are apparently handpicked to enhance her reputation as an actor. Among her films is the upcoming Zoya Akthar road movie set in Spain with Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan. Zoyas yet untitled film casts Katrina with Hrithik Roshan for the first time ever, and Katrinas part is said to be something she has never played before. Katrina has never worked with a woman director and neither has she worked with Hrithik.

Will Katrina be able to beat Priyanka in the number game remains to seen as the actress recently said she plans to marry in 2012 call it an ultimatum or whatever but Katrina is certain and since that’s just two years from now, she is all set to have the time of her life in films. That also explains her choices, which currently consist of Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan, Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar and Tarun Mansukhani’s Dostana 2, which should take care of this year.

It also means she has stopped looking for another home. “I’ll get married and go to my husband’s home,” she says fluttering her eyelashes, “Why put in so much money into a new home when I have a perfectly comfortable one at the moment?”

Whether the 2012 groom will be Salman Khan or someone she still has to meet, or whether it will even be another actor, is something she refuses to comment on. Lets see whether Katrina will be able to score upon Priyanka Chopra or the Pretty actress will get married and say good-bye to the Industry.
