Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor will be touring across the country to address students at handpicked campuses to promote Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. While Ranbir wants to speak extempore Katrina has started reading up as much as she can on current affairs and has also been closely watching the news so that her role as a politician in Raajneeti comes across convincingly in real life too. Interestingly, while Katrina likes to rehearse her scenes and dialogue, Ranbir is known to be a spontaneous actor.

In fact the makers are getting added mileage out of this plain and simple promotion tour. That be as it may, Bollywood is neither interested in the cricket or in the Rajneeti. What every curious bystander wishes to know is — who is Kat with in her personal life. Is she with Salman her mentor or is she with Ranbir as the gossip mills suggest.

When a friend pointed out to Katrina that the proximity to Ranbir for their film’s marketing would only lead to further speculation about their relationship, she shrugged and said, “He is a friend, and I will not refuse to promote my film just because tongues are wagging.”

Prakash Jha’s ‘Rajneeti’ is Katrina Kaif’s second flick opposite handsome Kapoor lad. Their earlier film together was Raj Kumar Santoshi’s ‘Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani’, which became a super success at the box office. Their pairing had been appreciated as their working chemistry was crackling.

Recently Katrina surprised every one by dropping in to meet Ranbir at Film City and no, they weren’t shooting together. Katz was on the sets of her own film (Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan) with Akshay Kumar, and Ranbir was shooting a commercial at the sprawling Film City on another set. But the courteous Ms Kaif dropped in to exchange pleasantries with the heartthrob. And it was all very fine and well meaning, we thought. Until sources informed that supposedly, Katz wasn’t really required on the sets of her own film at all that day. And that she had simply dropped in to meet Farah ‘just like that’. We hear that the smirk and look on Farah’s face had to be seen to be believed.

In the past Salman has openly admitted that Katrina is the girl in his life from interviews to TV shows he declares his love for Katrina. They were seen together in Chennai for IPL auction and are also widely accepted by public as a couple very much in love. But Katrina has never opened her mouth on the subject, and in fact, now says that ‘what Sallubhai says is his own call.’

While her presence with Salman Khan at Indian Premier League auction venue in Chennai confirmed that she was with Salman, but refusal to speak her mind on the issue makes one think that the beautiful lass does not want to commit anything publicly. May be, it is just for her forthcoming flicks, wherein she has been paired with different heroes like Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar etc or ….who knows?

On the other hand, Katrina Kaif even admitted that Ranbir was a good friend and they worked well as co-stars and they will be soon touring the whole of country together to promote Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick ‘Rajneeti’, and this statement has further complicated her relationship status.

Some insiders suggest that this will be a closely contested match between dashing Ranbir and macho Khan and no, it will not be played out in a cricket stadium. Who bowls this maiden over is something one will have to wait and watch. In the meantime the industry is busy hedging their bets on the two Bollywood superstars.
