Here are tips from the young Kapoor charmer on matters of heart and lot more...
True love is rare; respect it an arranged marriage will not do for Ranbir. "Love is rare, and few are fortunate to experience it. I hope to meet someone who I'll fall in love with and marry." Since he doesn't socialize, he only meets people on the sets. He rules out multi-dating, as "you might end up hurting someone."
Make the effort
"On an ideal date, if I had to spend the day with my partner, I'd start with a good breakfast. We could go to the gym together or play a sport. Have a good lunch, sleep for a bit. Wake up, play some videogames, listen to some music, chat, watch a movie, speak about our day. I've planned a few surprises in my relationships. I'm not an explorer, so if I plan a getaway, I'd go to New York City or places that I have a connect with. A relationship is about stability, about how much security you give your partner." On a scale of one to ten, how'd he rate himself as a boyfriend? "A super 10!" work on your flaws.
The young star is conscious about his flaws. He says, "I've gone wrong, that's why my relationships haven't worked. I'm a bit of an isolated soul. That's unfair for a partner. And I'm not terribly expressive. I expect my partner to understand that. You have to be more real and caring. Also, I live like a gypsy, so the distance can be tricky. There has to be a strong foundation of trust."
Forget
ego, not self-Respect
"I
don't have a big ego. I have the same insecurities as
everyone else — does she love me completely, is
someone else interested in her? If there is a difference
of opinion, ego does come in, but it's about
self-respect. When there are differences or problems, I
would love to be the person who voices it, but
unfortunately I don't."
Dealing
with heartbreak
"Fortunately,
I've not got my heart broken. You have to say, 'Listen,
it's over' and try to move on. I surround myself with
positive people. You need a low phase to appreciate
happiness. I don't let time pass, I search for
happiness."
Stay
friends with your exes
Ranbir
says he is friends with his exes as there is no bad
blood, no regret, no negativity. He says, "It's not
their fault that things ended, and it's not mine. I have
no qualms about breaking the ice."
On
termed as the SRK in the making
You
can’t take the titles like ‘Bollywood heartthrob’
and all seriously. You might have a hit today, while
your next film bombs big time. All I want to do is to
work with good directors, big banners and beautiful
co-stars. When I was starting out, I’d made a list of
50 directors I wanted to work with. Today, I’m just
four down. So there’s a lot of work still to be done.
What
gives him a kick
This
is one dream that I really hope comes true. I want to
coach a football team. I’m extremely passionate about
football. I was in my school’s football team and later
went on to play at the district level for my college.
But now, I don’t get to play too often. But if I’m
in town, I make sure I play at least once a week with my
friends. It’s a lot of fun.
Not
too grand
My
wishlist isn’t anything outrageous. All I hope is that
my films and the brands I endorse connect with my
audiences, as I really believe in them. And my sincere
wish is that everybody has a good life. I’m just a
regular 27-year-old guy who does things like any other
person my age. I watch films, hangout with friends in
Goa and spend time with my family.
