The grapevine has it that Shah Rukh Khan who plays Kareena Kapoor’s husband in the film, did not want to leave any stone unturned in making ‘Ra.One’ a super success at the box- office, and hence, decided to give that particular sequence a touch of realism with his lip- locking.
However, Shah Rukh Khan has kissed Kareena Kapoor or not, was still shrouded in the mystery as even insiders were not willing to spill the beans in the matter. They only admit that there is a scene in ‘Ra.One’, wherein SRK needs to get cosy with Kareena Kapoor, but they won’t specify the particulars. In fact, some said that it was a mere peck on the lips by King Khan. But others did not agree and took it just an attempt by the makers to keep the kissing sequence under wraps till the film releases.
Another theory doing the rounds in the matter was that Kareena Kapoor has been in a live- in relationship with Saif Ali Khan, and hence, she would not like the publicizing of the kiss. In fact, the kiss episode may even go against the liking of Saif Ali Khan’s parents, who do not have any objection to their marriage at present.
Then, even Shah Rukh Khan won’t like the undue publicity of the kiss due to his children—Aryan and Suhana. SRK’s children are not that young and understand the compulsion of an actor, but even then, King Khan does not want to be shown kissing another woman on the
celluloid.
Whatever is the case with Shah Rukh Khan-Kareena Kapoor lip-lock in ‘Ra.One’, but it certainly generated a lot of curiosity among the fans of bollywood Badshah. Not the one to keep his fans in dark SRK was quick to refute the rumours says he never will liplock on screen . He admits he is not just uncomfortable about kissing on screen, but doesn’t even know how to do it. ‘I don’t kiss on screen because I don’t know how to do it. I don’t do it because I feel weird…and I feel those who do it in films, do it well already,’ Said Shah Rukh.
‘I feel discomfort in doing two things for films. When anyone comes to narrate a story to me, I tell them two things –I won’t ride a horse and I won’t kiss,’he added.
When asked him if reports that he has kissed Kareena Kapoor for his upcoming sci-fi superhero film ‘Ra.One’, are true ‘Where did you read these reports,’ he asked.
When said that they are all over the internet, probably reported from Mumbai came SRK’s quick reply “ I am a simple guy, married man with kids… please don’t believe whatever you read on the internet. It may not always be true.’
Shah Rukh says if a film requires him to do things which make him uncomfortable, he quits it ‘I don’t kiss simply because I am not comfortable doing it. I am pretty uncomfortable even at laughing in my films…so whenever there is a scene where I have to laugh, or where there is a scene where I am uncomfortable or I feel I will not be able to do justice to it, and whenever there are animals involved and I feel they might be mistreated, I quit the film in its narration itself.’
