After giving a nod to Ayaan Mukerji's next opposite ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor, reportedly Katrina Kaif walked out of the film, as Salman Khan didn't approve of her working with the Kapoor boy. Apparently, date problems aren't the real reason as given by Katrina behind her refusal to do Ayan's film.
Recently Salman went through a surgery in the US for a nerve disorder that affected Katrina to the extent that she was unable to promote her recent release Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with a smile. It proved a bit of a burden for her as she was in no mood to be funny, clever and mischievous as her character in the film. At this juncture, nothing is more important for Katrina than Salman's full recovery.

Many belive that Salman Khan may be behind her move for refusing Ayaan Mukerji's film "Katrina was taking her time to decide on Ayaan Mukerji's because Salman had asked her to stay away from Ranbir. While she couldn't turn down her good friend Ayaan, Katrina also had to pay heed to Salman. In fact, earlier Katrina had accepted Ayaan's offer. But then she soon opted out of it," a source from the industry said.
Katrina couldn't say no to Salman who gave her the big break in B-Town. "Salman has always looked out for Katrina in the industry. He has been like a guide to her. She obviously could not just ignore his wishes when it came to Ayaan's film," added the source.
Moreover, Katrina has shuffled her dates in such a way that her film with Salman, Ek Tha Tiger, is not disturbed in any way. Katrina has ensured that her usually packed diary is open with dates for the film, even if she has to let go off plump projects like Ayaan Mukherjee's next with Ranbir and Yash Raj Films' Dhoom 3 with Aamir.
"I will not talk about the roles that I am not doing. But, yes, Ek Tha Tiger is top priority at the moment," confirms Katrina.
Salman-Katrina pairing was always talk of the town even before ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ prod Salman on his co-star and friend Katrina this is what he has to say, “Katrina and I get along well. She’s a lovely girl and one of my closest friends. There’s nothing better than working with someone who is part of my family.”
