He isn't the Bollywood Badshah for nothing! With a gravity-defying role in India’s first big-ticket sci-fi RA.One, a 26 per cent stake in a children’s amusement park, KidZania, IPL duties and Don 2. In SRK’s world, there is seldom a lull moment. After more than 20 years of being a star and clocking a decade as a producer, he is still teeming with new ideas. In his journey to super stardom he has won thousands of hearts - all in the way only he can.
Shah Rukh, or King Khan as he is lovingly called, may have many rivals in the film industry but he says he deals with competition a little differently "I hit my competition hard by deciding not to play the game. I choose to change the game and I choose to select films that are so different from what the others do so that they don't remain my competition because they don't run the same race. Winning is not about trying to undermine someone's success... what you need to do is to go on the parallel road! You decide that you go and change the game. In my life, I have always decided to change the game. ”
Shah Rukh has been ruling Bollywood with an iron fist and year after year he has been enthralling viewers with entertainers "I want to die giving the last shot of my film. I am a big believer of selling dreams. Everything comes at a
price; life comes at a price tag of death itself. Except for the emotions that parents and children share, everything is for sale. I don't come for free either. You can make me do an item number in films, dance at a wedding, do street theatre as long as it makes people smile. I am a proud seller of dreams and as long as it makes people smile, I will do it."
As the release date of his ambitious film 'Ra.One' is inching closer, it has started giving superstar anxious moments "As an actor, I feel differently and as a producer I feel differently. I am not scared to act. I am not scared to make movies as I was born to do that. There is a worry, but I do not fear. I just hope everyone likes and enjoys the film."

Despite flops and hits he has never scaled down film budgets for his own production. Instead, he has upped the ante and signed up for more work outside to finance his filmmaking fantasies “ I only work when I have to make a film. I have quite a hand-to- mouth existence as far as filmmaking and my other work is concerned. You pay me for a four-hour show and I know I have made some money which I can put in my films.”
The more remarkable part of Khan’s multiple ventures is that they are all aimed at servicing the venture closest to his heart —movies “My favourite waste of money is making films. I don’t waste money on anything else. I don’t like owning a Rolls Royce, I am not a car person. I am a house person and I like my house and I am happy with it. I have no extravagant habits except movies. I hope RA.One is not ahead of its time. If it is, I will be working like the labour class doing all kinds of television shows and films.”
All this talk about rivalry “ I don't have to bother about anyone and I don't have the time to bother (about all this). I work so much that I don't have time and space between that work to hate someone. I really don't but people don't believe (me). They think I am manipulative.”

SUPERHERO'S BUMPY RIDE:
"Five years ago, when we thought of Ra.One, there were genuine apprehensions about the huge expenses and many felt it would be difficult to recover the costs. But everyone was very supportive and I am glad that we went ahead with it. I will be proud even if Ra.One flops because I want to change the game I play. I do not want to be in the same playing field as others. "
PROMOTIONAL SPREE: "I will never shy away from promotional activities because I believe in letting my audience know what to expect from my films. Besides, promotions also draw a certain percentage of non-regular
moviegoers to theatres. Today, with so many platforms being available, it's important to promote a movie ahead of its release."
NO COMPARISONS, PLEASE: "I am sick and tired of being compared all the time! Just like it's not fair to compare me to a legend like Amitabh Bachchan, however flattering it may be, it's equally unfair to compare me to every second newcomer. Without sounding rude, I just want to say that in the last 20 years, I have done enough quality work to carve out my own identity."
ME, THE WORKAHOLIC: "I've been so busy for the past one month that I have been sleeping at around 11 every morning after working non-stop in the night. Shooting for Don 2 has been physically exhausting. However, as an entertainer, all these things seem like a cakewalk when a film of yours does well. "
MY KIDS, MY WORLD: "I'm blessed to have such lovely children. I'll be happy if they study well and are happy in whatever they choose to do. Fame and money are secondary."
