Deepika Padukone has always hit the headlines for her numerous break-ups and patch-ups. Deepika-Ranbir relationship and break-up has been under the constant media srcutiny but it's not this couple, which is about to become subject for a script. Inspired by Deepika's love story with model Nihar Pandya director Prashant Chadha seems to have decided to make a film on it.
Many of us do not know about Nihar Pandya, whom Deepika dated during her modelling days but finally left him for Ranbir Kapoor. This not the much-publicised love affair with Nihar and sudden breakup will make it to the silver screen in a semi-biographical film. Interestingly, the actress' real life boyfriend Nihar Pandya, whom she left for Ranbir, had agreed to play the lead in the project.
Director Chadha, who had been toying with the idea of putting his friend Nihar's story on celluloid say’s “Nihar is like my brother. I was very close to Deepika as well once upon a time. In fact, I had launched her in a music video. Everybody knows how she walked out of Nihar’s life for Ranbir. Nihar was heartbroken. He had done everything by the book. He looked after her for three-and-a-half-years. In fact Deepika stayed in Nihar's house with his parents for three years.”
Apparently the two started out together in an acting institute in Mumbai in 2005. Though Deepika maintained that they were just friends, the extravagant birthday bashes Nihar organised for the actress revealed that there was more.

"Things changed drastically when Ranbir came into Deepika's life and Niahr was allegedly left out in the cold. Nobody knows that Deepika actually came crying back to Nihar after breaking up with Ranbir the first time. Nihar went looking for Ranbir, intercepted his car and asked him what he was doing with Deepika. Ranbir shot back, ‘Ask your girlfriend that’. Even after all this, Nihar took Deepika back. And then the same thing happened with Yuvraaj Singh” Revealed Chadha.
"The film starts with Nihar's monologue where he says, 'I loved Deepika and wanted my name to be associated with her for eternity'. Nihar then wonders what went wrong. The film then goes into flashback. The film is about Nihar's quest to find out where Romeo went right, and he went wrong in love,” claimed the director.
The controversial subject of the film has been facing opposition from certain quarters. However, Chadha is undeterred “I owe it to Nihar,” said the filmmaker.

Deepika Padukone on Nihar Pandya:
I am not commenting on my past. I am in touch with Nihar and his parents. His parents have taken care of me and treated me like family.
Deepika Padukone on Yuvraj Singh:
If two people are spending time together and having dinner in a restaurant, why does it make front-page news? But like I said, my family and I are getting used to all this.
Deepika Padukone on Ranbir Kapoor:
I don’t look back on the past. I just pick up my life and move on. It’s been a couple of years since Ranbir and I parted and I don’t even think about it anymore. Everyone has their own way of dealing with break-ups. This is my way, but I’m not a counsellor to tell others what they should do in a similar situation. There’s no issue with Ranbir I mean it. We are both grown-ups and can be mature about a relationship that didn’t work out. It’s the media that makes it into an issue.
