Credited as one of the few actors in Bollywood to have roles specifically written for her "All the roles I do are amazing in their own right. For instance in Don 2, I am a part of a relationship that's rarely seen in Hindi films. He's clearly the bad guy but you are also in love with him. It's this heart-wrenching situation. You don't know if you are angry with yourself or just angry with him. It's confused, conflicting emotions at play. It was tricky."
Though she has portrayed many bold characters on the silver screen, Priyanka says she is not comfortable with nudity in films. The 28-year-old, who has done steamy scenes in films like Andaaz, Aitraaz and Fashion among others, says that among the few things that she would not indulge in would be nudity "Nudity is something that I wouldn't be comfortable with. Even if I play the most complex and weird parts which are raunchy or whatever it has to be, the portrayal of a character is to a point where it is aesthetically done. It has to be something that I won't be averse to showing my parents. I have to be able to sit with them and watch it.
Being frank and not politically correct, the actress also said that if need be, she wouldn't mind kissing even a girl on the screen "If it was in a part that I was really eager to do, I would still consider it but as of now, nothing has made me do that. Also a prerequisite is that she has to be hot."
Priyanka's extra-special camaraderie with Shah Rukh Khan is being much talked about, so much so that an alleged affair between the two is being speculated. However, she fails to encourage such talk and simply says that she has no crush on Shah Rukh Khan. "It's no crush. It's just pure admiration. Shah Rukh is a fantastic actor. He is a brilliant co-star, and I really look forward to working with him. You just have to see him in Don 2. He'll leave you spellbound," she said.
She’s Don’s ‘bad habit’ even though he’s aware that her life’s mission is to put him behind bars. Does Priyanka have any bad habits? “Doesn’t everyone?” she laughs.
And has she ever been in love with a bad boy? That gets another laugh, “I’ve always been in love with bad boys because bad is good. But jokes apart, a little bit of harmless rebelliousness can be appealing.”
The actress say’s that unconditional love doesn’t exist “I’ve discovered over the years that nobody can give unconditional love. It’s the toughest thing to find in the world. No expectations…you can’t do it, it’s just not possible.”
When asked how difficult or easy it is to charm PC. Priyanka spills the beans, “I will make life really difficult for you if I like you. I have these walls and especially if I like somebody then I build them even more. The only way for him to penetrate that wall would be to just sweep me off, take me by surprise, make me believe that he really wants it.”
Ask her if it’s easy to fall in love with co-stars as they’re always romancing each other on the screen and are insanely attractive as well “It is great to be in a relationship while doing films. It’s a lot of feeling, of course it is, because you know the scenes have another meaning and it’s cute and it’s fun, but it’s not necessary. I mean it will be the same thing if we don’t get along with a co-actor.”
Apart from her views on love, Priyanka admits that she is a very bad loser and would even punch people if she were to lose in a game “I’m very competitive and a very bad loser. I’m the worst loser. I’ll punch people if I lose in a game (laughs).”
She has been tagged as The Hottest Girl Of 2011 how does it feel “It feels great to be called the ‘hottest’, it’s a nice compliment more because people have said it.”
Who, according to her is the hottest actor in Bollywood “According to me? Would be me actually. (Giggles). Modesty is my middle name. Besides me if I have to say, then Deepika (Padukone) is very hot, so is Kareena (Kapoor). Among males, John (Abraham) is extremely hot and Arjun (Rampal).”
She is also regarded as the most fashionable star of Bollywood “It feels good when so many good things are said about you. But for me, fashion means even the best outfit has to be comfortable. Girls today need to wear something that suits them and not just follow the stars. You need to find what looks nice on you.” |
