| Needless to say, this new injunction issued by Salman had put the unit in an inconvenient situation. "Salman wanted to step out of his vanity when he felt like. Nobody could call him for a shot. The entire unit had to simply wait for him to alight. Even if it means delaying the shoot," added the source.
But the Ek Tha Tiger team had been grinning and bearing it "Salman often came late to the set. Then he simply locked himself in his vanity van. He payed no heed to the shot that was being readied or was already prepared for him. | Salman had been throwing his weight around with the makers of the film for some time now. Earlier, Khan had refused to travel to Morocco to shoot a promotional song and had ordered for a set to be built in Film City to represent the foreign location. Insiders reveal that Salman wanted to re-shoot the said sequence in Mumbai or somewhere nearer but Yashraj Films would have none of it and the superstar was forced to shoot the sequence with Katrina Kaif in Bangkok.
It infuriated the mighty Khan so much that he told his family members and close friends that he would never work again with Yashraj people after completing the film. It may be recalled that even
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ got Salman Khan only after his father Salim Khan insisted that he should take up the project.
But now it seems the end of the road for Salman Khan as far as Aditya Chopra’s production house is concerned. Insiders reveal that Salman Khan’s decision to shun the production house has been culmination of several factors and going to Bangkok for the re-shoot was the final straw.
In fact, earlier Salman had insisted that Sajid-Wajid, the composers considered to be close to him, should be given the job of composing music for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, but it was rejected by Yashraj people. Then, the same happened when it came to composing the promotional tune for the film. |

| Besides these small hiccups, Salman Khan is also said to have issues with the strict rules and regulations at Yashraj set. Generally, Salman Khan makes his own rules for working and never follows the filmmaker’s rules but this time it was entirely different and he had to follow instructions from Yashraj setup. All this despite of Yashraj films making a lot of concessions for Salman Khan before he agreed to sign the project.
Meanwhile, the buzz in the industry is that even Aditya Chopra is not happy with Salman’s attitude towards his work and Adi was especially miffed in case of Sallubhai’s interest in Katrina Kaif. Infact the duo had a little showdown in front of whole unit. It was a minor patchwork and Salman was supposedly sitting out on the set, waiting for his heroine to emerge from her vanity van. When she did, it was allegedly in a figurehugging, cleavage-revealing dress that showed too much skin. So Salman felt irritated, he supposedly questioned her about what she was wearing and why.
Katrina apparently shrugged her slim shoulders and quipped that it was the director’s decision. This response caused her ex-beau to flip his lid. ‘I’ll see your director!’ he was supposed to have retorted hotly, before allegedly breaking out into a torrent of foul language. The production house felt that Salman was taking more interest in Katrina than the project, and this disappointed them greatly. In fact, Yashraj people are also thinking of never repeating Sallubhai in any future project. Perhaps, the actor has taken the tag of Tiger a bit too seriously. |
