| It came as a surprise when Hrithik said he wasn’t interested in the number game “Though I have started understanding the business now, I don’t get into figures. Money for me is not a motivation, it’s the creativity that counts.” It’s this trait of Duggu that sets him apart from others.
The actor doesn’t deny that Krissh 3 might just set the bar higher for action films overall “The action in Agneepath and Krissh is far different from each other. It’s like having two genres of action itself. Agneepath was like raw fury unleashed, in terms of hand combat and man-to-man action. It was realistic. Krissh, I think is more of stunts and much more daredevilry and dependent on the camera work than just pure display of physical power. So, in that way I don’t think it’s taking action further from Agneepath as such, just taking action in a different direction altogether and taking it higher literally. I’m not looking at beating anyone in the genre, but yes, I want the audience to enjoy every minute of the film’s action. I’ve always said that I only want to better myself and my aim’s not beating others at the BO. So all I’m trying to do is push the envelope from where I’d last left it.” adds Hrithik.

| Hrithik waves off all buzz of there being a doctor on sets at all times to attend to Hrithik’s bad back. “I’ve been through hell all the months that I suffered for my back pain, but this time around I made sure that I am 100 per cent okay before I take on any action. If there’s one thing that doing action in all these years has taught me is that no one should ever take their bodies for granted and despite all the flying and kicking around, my back is well-taken care of,” says Hrithik. “I am still pushing my body, but doing it the right way this time.” he says.
Isn't it heartbreaking to lose the hunky body for film role, which may require him to gain weight (Guzaarish, 2010) or get a leaner look (Agneepath)? "No, there's no attachment to the image of a Greek God because I know it's all transitory. For me, this body is just a torso, a pair of hands and legs and a stomach, that everyone has. The idea is to use food and the gym as tools to sculpt a body and lifestyle, which can benefit me professionally and personally."

On playing Iconic Vijay Dinanath Chauhan
I was up against playing Vijay Dinanath Chauhan. What would it have translated to if I’d failed? I should have been scared of going to the sets. But I wasn’t. Both Karan Malhotra and I thanked our stars that the script had so much power that it kept us focused. I knew I had to play this character according to the vision of the director. Now when I hear things like ‘The new Vijay Dinanath Chauhan’ I go OMG! When people say that one cannot compare the two films because the film and the characters are so different, that is the biggest victory. It’s a mark of great respect for the original and Amitabh Bachchan because we did not emulate it and also we knew we couldn’t match up to it. History was my most hated subject in school. But it’s my favorite now because I am a part of it.
On giving big hits only with his home banner
The biggest hit of my life is Agneepath. My second is Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and the third biggest hit is Dhoom 2. They surpassed my father’s films. Now the challenge is with Krrish 3. I want it to be my biggest hit. It’s the most difficult film. I play two roles. If I want victory again, I’ll have to go through the battle again. I’m on a journey to discover my extreme potential.

On Guzaarish and Kites
Doing Guzaarish was great. I don’t think I would have been able to do Agneepath without going through the brilliance of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Guzaarish and Kites have taught me a lot.
On his happiness and sadness monitored by the hits and flops
First of all there’s no failure. I have only grown, evolved and taken feedback. Once you understand the reasons, the failure ceases. I am happiest when I am at service…Service to my family, service to my loved ones, service to the world and my fans.
On world being a happier place at 38
I’m very comfortable with time and the passing of time. Because if time didn’t pass, I would never grow, I would never evolve, I would never get to the point where I want to get to. I would never enjoy the present moment. You have to accept the way the universe is meant to be. You cannot resist it. To resist it is the most unintelligent thing. I look forward to every chapter of my life.
Motivated by money or accolades
What truly drives my core is just my desire to stay inspired because otherwise you don’t have a challenge… I think 35 years is enough to understand what life is about. If post-35 you are not happy, then you are either stupid or just plain unintelligent. After 35, you’ve got to understand what is what. I’m a very aware person. I am very aware of my motives, reasons, cause and effect of human behaviour, which is why I never have any misunderstandings with people because I understand myself. And if you understand yourself, it just takes that much to understand everybody else. All of us have our moments.
Typical day in the life of Hrithik Roshan
I look forward to my off days because I can do that without any pressure of time. Spending time with my kids at home, just cleaning things. Reorganising my desk, watching a movie with Sussanne and the kids. Spending some fight time with my two boys. Right now, they are mamma’s boys because I don’t have enough playtime. When I do take them out, I take over them completely.
