| Sky
is the limit for Mallika Sherawat |
| If
mallika have her ways theres going to be no
stopping for her. No matter if some people critize
her for over exposures, Mallika
apparently listens to 4-5 scripts every day these
days and says no to most of them, thereby leading
to further talk about her highhandedness. |

Mallika
Sherawat infamously known for her controversial statements. Mallika acquired a sex-symbol tag after the film Murder (2004) in which
she starred, became one of the most successful
films of the year.
She is the first Indian woman to get an offer to
pose for Playboy magazine. Mallika, however,
refused the offer due to her morals and
upbringing.
World-renowned
journalist Riz Khan recently dubbed Bollywood's
hot belle Mallika Sherawat as a youth icon in an
interview for CNN news. This girl from Rohtak has
surprised everyone by her immense and immediate
success. If media attention is the barometer of
stardom then Mallika Sherawat is by far the
biggest star of Bollywood at the moment. Both the
print medium and visual media are busy lapping up
every pearl of wisdom that the Murder mademoiselle
utter. She knows how to shock.

|
| In
her bid to acquire the tag of India's sex-symbol,
Mallika Sherawat has virtually dropped her clothes
and clinched the 'coveted' title. Mallika started
out as a small-time model and actress from Delhi
called Reema Lamba before she re-christened
herself Mallika Sherawat. The rumour is that she
was already married to one, Capt. Gill from Delhi,
but sadly, the marriage didn't exactly work!

Sherawat
may be at the receiving end of severe criticism
for 'The Myth', but UTV has gone ahead and signed
her for an interesting project where she is to
play the main lead, according to sources. The film
is believed to comprise an ensemble cast. Mallika
has also been signed opposite Sanjay Dutt for
another UTV film with David Dhawan. |

Mallika
apparently listens to 4-5 scripts every day these
days and says no to most of them, thereby leading
to further talk about her highhandedness.
Disgruntled directors may claim she’s developed
an attitude. But Mallika isn’t bothered. Well,
one choosy lady that.
She may be the sex-kitten the world loves
watching. Yet, at heart Mallika claims to be a
conservative girl with "an inbuilt
censor". When talks about an affair with
Mahesh Bhatt
cropped up sometime back; Mallika was embarrassed
to the extent of being defensive; “how can I be
involved with someone old enough to be my
father?"
Mallika
Sherawat the big bombshell of Bollywood had the
biggest challenge in front of her. Howard Stern
the king-of-sex in USA compared her with Pamela
Anderson and challenged her to "show it
all" in Howard Stern TV show. But Mallika
chickened out stating ‘cutural reasons’.
Given
the history of Mallika Sherawat, it is no surprise
however! If Mahesh Bhatt had his way in his film
‘Murder’, everyone would have seen a
Mallika Sherawat without clothes? "Yes, there was such a
scene which Bhatt wanted. But I refused to shoot
it. He had offered to use a body double and shoot
me swimming in such a way that it would look as if
I was totally naked in the pool. He said he'd take
a top angle shot." says Sherawat.
Speaking
about the men of her choice Mallika says she has
some unexplainable desire for men older than her
age. A news report recently quoted her as saying
that she has a crush on none other than
Dharmendra.
It
was in her college days that Mallika came to know
Jet Airways pilot Captain Karan Singh Gill and
married him. But the married life was perhaps not
meant for Mallika and soon she decided to separate
from Karan. While Karan got remarried, Mallika
began chasing her dream of making it big in
showbiz.

Mallika’s
Quotable Quotes:
"I graduated from Delhi, and came down to
Bombay to try my hand at films. I always wanted to
be an actress. I'd ape all the actresses before
the mirror even when it was forbidden in my
community. Wide-eyed as I may sound, it's a dream
come true, yaar! I remember when I disclosed my
career option to my folks all hell broke loose. My
father is a zamindar back home. So you can imagine
all the fuss. And my mom, she still wears a
ghunghat."
"I’m
like Viagra for the audience."
"Don’t
I have the right to to say no to assignments that
are offered to me? Does success mean I’ve to
lose my friends?
I've slogged like crazy to get where I am. And
those who think it's just my body that got me
where I am, they should take a look at the others
who have rushed in after me. They haven't gone
beyond their first feverish film.”
"I
have always looked up to Bipasha and she has
certainly opened a lot of doors for many actresses
like us. But I don't want to compete against
anyone. I think I am one of a kind."
"I
would like to say I handle criticism well. In fact
I enjoy reading the comments of the critics. It's
great to have critics blasting you all the time.
It keeps you on your toes, spurs you, challenges
you, makes you want to get better. I take
everything positively. There's so much to learn
and do."
"On
her film, The Myth (2005): “I may not be here to
titillate, but I am not sorry if I have that edge.
People aren't coming to the theatres to see me in
a burqa."
About
herself:
"I am a very practical and ambitious girl. By
nature I am very artistic and I know exactly what
I want in life. I believe in doing what my heart
says is correct and I don't allow people to make
judgment about me. I am proud of the fact that
people find me attractive and sexy. I don't see
what's wrong with that. There are so many girls in
films who are trying so hard to gift themselves a
sexy crown, poor souls. And here audiences have
publicly acknowledged that I am a physically
appealing woman, I have no complaints."
