| Year
2005 was a happening year for Director
Priyadarshan as his two releases kyon ki and Garam
Masala were among the much talk about
movies. It seems he will continue to offer
comedy this year too. Priyadarshan has completed
his love comedy Chup Chup Ke, which was
initially tentatively titled Khatta Meetha.
Supposed
to be the most heartwarming comedy of the year |

|
| Starring
Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur, the movie is a
feel-good romantic comedy of errors and mistaken
identities. |
|
|
| The story revolves around Jeetu
(Shahid Kapur) hails from a small town. He is
constantly harassed by creditors, whom he owes a
lot of money to. He just can't seem to pay of his
debts. His father Jayved Prasad, and fiancee Pooja
are also targeted by the debtors. The situation is
so bad that Pooja's father suggests that Jeetu
should kill himself to solve his family's problem. |
|

|
| Faking his
own death to escape his various creditors and free
his family from disgrace. Shahid ends up not dead
but in another town being forced to assume another
identity as a mute to avoid too many questions.
His love interest is Kareena Kapoor, who plays a
mute by birth in the film. Shahid is trapped in a
false identity and lands from one scrape into
another as he tries to hide his secret in this
romantic family comedy.
Jeetu believes that he is not good enough
for Pooja and wants her to find someone else. She
truly loves him and refuses to do so. Eventually,
Jeetu decided to fake his death. The idea is that
his family can claim his life insurance. |

Some
fishermen find him entangled in some nets and take him
with them. One of the fishermen mistakes him to be a
millionaire. They decide to sell him in exchange for
some quick
bucks! And the result of this mistaken identity is
confusion, chaos and a whole lot of fun!
It's
a typical romantic comedy of Priyadarshan's style.
However, the new title, as per Priyadarshan, will do
better at the box office and as per Shahid-Kareena, they
don't have to work hard for depicting chup chup ke
things because they often do that in real life. Right!
