Karisma
Kapoor and her industrialist husband Sunjay Kapur
haven't quite kissed and made up but did manage to
arrive at an understanding over the actor's decision to
procure a passport for their baby daughter Samaira
without informing Sunjay.
The compromise, the details of which were first reported,

Kapoor / Sanjay Kapur : A step towards peace)was
presented to the Delhi high court on Tuesday. It was the
court which had suggested that the couple arrive at an
understanding for the sake of their daughter. On the
basic issue of their marital discord, the couple has
claimed "good progress" in their talks.
On the basis of Sunjay's submissions and Karisma's
concurrence, Justice Mukul Mudgal directed the
industrialist to place an affidavit before Mumbai's
regional passport office and sign the passport form of
his six-month-old daughter. It has to be done within two
weeks.
Sunjay's
counsel Ashok Desai presented his client's request that
he sign the passport form of Samaira who is in Karisma's
custody in Mumbai. As Desai placed the affidavit and
sought a truce between the two, the actor's advocate did
not oppose the proposal.
Government counsel Kailash Gambhir, however, claimed
that the decision would open a floodgate of litigation,
Justice Mudgal clarified that the order would not be a
precedence.
As of now, the patch-up is confined to the passport
question. The couple also seem inclined to iron out
their marital discord, if any. Karisma's counsel Mahesh
Jethmalani said "the two sides are talking and it
is in progress. It would be a positive development".
