Udita Goswami is scared of any more skin show. But sources say, she is already branded and will soon go for bolder and stunning skin exposures.
She does not agree though. She is trying to change the image on being called a sex symbol Udita says “People have been calling me ''hot'' since my modelling days and there's nothing wrong with it. News is that you have vowed to quit lip-locking scenes on-screen?
This is true that I have pledged that in any of my forthcoming films I will not give a lip kiss. I am not comfortable doing that. I belong to a traditional family and my values do not allow me to indulge in such acts.

Where were your values when you did films like Paap, Zeher and Aksar?
Look, when I entered tinsel town, I was not aware of so many things. I was not ready for that kind of intimate roles but since I was new somehow I managed and prepared myself for it. Later on, I realized that what I did was not something my values allow me to do.

So it took three films to awaken you conscience that lip kissing is immoral?
No, in fact when I was doing Aksar I had told the director Anant Mahadevan that I would not be ready for smooch and he had agreed to my terms also but when we were shooting in London, he suddenly pressurised me saying that a kiss scene is important for the film. Just for the sake of the character I had to give in. I was fortunate that I had Emraan Hashmi against me whom I had become quite familiar with by then.

How comfortable are you with sexual scenes? Will you take up films that demand them?
I don't want to have a tag on me. Once you do a couple of films with a similar theme, people assume that's all you are capable of. I want to showcase my entire talent. I would rather not do films if they will tag me because once you get tagged and then you complain about it.

You were paired opposite Emran Hashmi. He has been the lucky guy who gets to kiss all his actresses be it Mallika Sherawat or Dia Mirza and now its YOU. How was the kiss?
Yes, it's rather funny. Emran kissing another actress was a joke on the sets. But the movie actually had only one kiss, so it was simple. We didn't take many re-takes. I know I'll sound stereotypical but the kiss was necessary for the plot to move ahead.

What if there had been any other actor in place of Emraan? Would you have refused to do the scene?
I can kiss only Emraan comfortably. If I had to do a kissing shot with any other actor, I would have literally cried.

In recent times, the Bhatt films have had the hot and sexy tag attached to them. Will you continue working with the banner?
All I say is that I don’t want to do a movie like Zeher again, which in no way means that I’m not going to do a film with the Bhatts. Whatever happened was nothing major. It was meant to be resolved between us. But no more skin shows I’m looking for an image change and don’t want to do ''bold'' roles anymore. One more film like Zeher and people will label me as a sex kitten. I’m looking at the whole package before agreeing to it. My next two films are comedies.

What films do we see you in?
You will see me in different roles and genres. I am working on 'Amar Joshi Shaheed Ho Gaya' and 'Kisse Pyar Karo'. Both are comedies. People on the sets of 'Kisse Pyar Karo' would often joke that I have moved from a convent (Mahesh Bhatt's films) to a municipal school with this film.
