| There
is no stopping to this prince charming with his
popularity going sky high the (sexiest Asian)
Abhishek Bachchan is taking bollywood by storm.
Every director in the industry is roping in
Bachchan Junior to cash on his
Magic. |

While
the casting of Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay continues
to generate curiosity and interest, the latest
actor to have been finalised is Abhishek Bachchan.
What comes as a surprise is the choice of role
Abhishek has been zeroed down for. Abhi will
recreate the magic once created by Jalal Agha in
Mehbooba mehbooba. With this dance Abhishek will
shake a leg for the first time with actress
Urmilla Matondkar.
Bachchan
junior has grown into his feet and after Right
Here Right Now he's getting set to heave it
like Helen. He
will share screen space for a popular number for
the third consecutive time with his father Amitabh
Bachchan, the others being Kajra re in Bunty
Aur Babli and Rock and roll soniye for Kabhi
Alvida Na Kehna. When contacted Ram Gopal
Verma confirmed the news. "It is true that
Abhishek will be doing the song and will feature
along with Amitji and Urmilla. The other details
are yet to be finalised. We yet have to think
about his look in the film," he said.
Abhishek volunteered to the song after he heard
the number by Ganesh Hedge. "I never offered
him the song. He loved it as soon as he heard it.
He was excited to be a part of the song and
offered to be part of the song."
So what makes this song any different from the
other numbers he has performed with his father?
"The primary difference between the other
Amitabh and Abhishek songs and Mehbooba is
that in the former they have been highly
interactive. In this song they might not even look
at each other.” |

Allegedly,
the hunt for an apt location is on with Ganesh and Ramu
having already rejected Dubai and Australia. The buzz
doing the rounds is that they probably might shoot in
Morocco. Considering that the song will be shot at
Gabbar's den, minute details are being worked on. |

Again
Big plans are afoot for a $20 million (Rs 100 crore)
celluloid venture that will rake up the issue of
international terrorism on the big screen. The movie is
Ram Gopal Varma’ s ambitious project Ek that
was shelved previously. But now, the Mumbai-based
Percept Picture Company has announced its plan to
produce the film. Ramu will direct the movie himself.
The movie will be a multi-starrer with Ramu’s current
favorites Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan spearheading the
cast. Manas Malhotra, the marketing manager of Percept
Picture Company, confirmed this in a press conference:
“Ek will happen at the end of next year and
will be on global terrorism. We are looking at a budget
of $20 million and I believe Amitabh and Abhishek
Bachchan have already been signed for the movie.”
Also
the Wizcraft event Management Company has pulled off a
casting coup for their next series of global stage shows
in 2007. Though planning is still in the initial stages,
the aim is to have the father and son together in a
star-studded music and dance extravaganza. Details about
the tour are hush-hush and Wizcraft is not willing to
divulge much at this juncture. Though the Bachchans have
performed on stage across the globe at various events,
including the IIFA awards, this is the first time that
the father-son duo will come together for a series of
concerts and as all such extravaganzas go, the logistics
are mind-boggling. For several years, Wizcraft has been
organising stage shows across the world with Bollywood
and international stars. So the thought of seeing the
Bachchans together will surely be lapped up by
star-struck NRIs the world over. Both father and son are
busy at the moment with various projects on hand. The
sight of Abhishek grown out, gelled back hair, which is
touching his suit collar, is startling, his look for
Shaad Ali’s Jhoom Barabar Jhoom in which he plays
Ricky Thukral while Big B has taken his fans by surprise
when his new
look as Gabbar was revealed. Wishing the very best to
the
celebrated father-son duo.
