Nothing has been planned yet. Some members of both our families are not in town and as soon as they come in, we shall sit down and decide on dates and other formalities. If the newspapers say a couple of months, they must be privy to information that I am unaware of.

The couple themselves chose to maintain a discreet distance from and a deafening silence on the matter that has hogged the headlines and mind space since the announcement of the engagement. It's almost like an arranged marriage with love thrown in. Meanwhile in the latest development Bachchans asked Yash Raj Films to axe the scene that shows their to-be daughter-in-law doing a “bold smooch”. However, Dhoom 2 director Sanjay Gadhvi has refused to comment on the issue and maintains that his relations with Yash Raj Films haven’t been effected due to the controversy. The liplock had raised eyebrows and sparked off controversies soon after the movie was released on November 24 last year. A lawyer had even filed a legal suit against Hrithik and Aishwarya. However, no formal action has been taken against Yash Raj Films. The Bachchans never approved of the Ash-Hrithik liplock and speculation was rife that Abhishek had stopped talking to Hrithik after seeing the kissing scene. Now with the Ash-Abhishek wedding round the corner, it seems the Bachchans are all out to get a squeaky clean image of their would-be bahu. Both the families are eager to lock in on a date for the wedding. We're genuinely happy for the good looking couple and wish them happy married life ahead. The wedding is expected to take place in February.
