As per tradition, the mehndi ceremony was held at the bride's house. It was a small, private ceremony with only close relatives and friends of the Rais invited. Abhishek, his sister Shweta Nanda, Sonali Bendre and her husband Goldie Behl attended the ceremony at the Rai residence.
Jaya Bachchan was on her toes, busy creating a Bengali wedding for Ash and Abhi. She looked a bit worn out as she patiently sat for the mehndi ceremony.
Donning a light blue coloured kurta, Amitabh smiled as the mehndi artists applied henna on his palms as a part of the wedding rituals.
