Bips-John marriage plans is on. Abhi-Ash shaadi has been on the top of everyone’s minds of late. Even though it wasn’t the case with John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, they couldn’t remain unaffected.

When the couple attended a press conference of a brand they endorse together the same evening as the wedding, they didn’t expect to be asked about it. When someone inquired if the couple was planning to walk the aisle next Johnny boy got visibly angry and flexing his biceps demanded to know who wanted to know.

| It was only when Bipasha held his arm and told him to chill, did he calm down.
Bipasha says that she is not a bit insecure about their relationship. Bips-John has not mulled marriage despite a long courtship period.
“If the media is to be believed, John apparently has no consistent taste in women, so he chases every woman that the media finds available.
If half of their insecurities for me were true, I would be a nervous wreck. I’m also aware that our continued togetherness doesn’t sell newspapers. Our real and imagined miseries do”.

John is not my business partner. We are not together for the convenience of advertisers. I know how serious John is, about his work and that means he spends very little of his energy chasing short-term relationships. In fact, I rarely call him at work. I’m not a phone person. John does most of the calling and if he doesn’t, I know he’s working.
John has never had just a fleeting interest in anything. Not his bikes, his business ventures, his endorsements or his relationships. Either he’s totally engrossed in them, or he’s not. So ladies, despite what I may read in the papers in the morning, I know he’s coming back to me at night.

Lot of people have asked me this question. Even many girls in the film industry ask me how I manage to keep my relation undeterred despite John's hot looks. I know that all these rumours of affairs are baseless, yet I enjoy when girls regard him as sex symbol.
If he is sexiest among all, then at the end of the day, I have all reason to feel happy because he is my catch. It doesn't bother me as far as my relationship with him is concerned because I know both of us are very much committed to each other and there is no scope for any doubt or suspicion. I am a stage where I feel, 'John hai to jaan hai.'
Recently, in one of the functions, a girl pinched John's bottom. Did you feel bad?
Not at all. I know that girls are all crazy about him and want to kiss him, hug him and pinch his bottom. I think these things only indicate about the growing popularity of a person.
We have been through a phase when people refuse to give any recognition to him. He was not even invited to parties and functions, but I used to console him and was confident that he will rise one day and that day has come now. It is due to his sheer hard work and effort that he has reached at this stage of his career.
Does he also recommend your name to the directors to take you in their films?
He never does that. But I have seen many actors who leave no stone unturned to promote their girlfriends. This is cheap. John can never resort to that.
Few people say that your career would have shaped differently if John had been in your life. What's your take?
I rubbish such talks. Those aiming at juicy talks spread these kinds of rumours. He has been a big motivational factor in my life and I am quite satisfied wherever I am in the industry. |
